NF steht für Nicolai Fuhrmann, den Designer der NF-Chairs. Er istseit 2006 Designpartner von VS. Nicolai Fuhrmann begann seineLaufbahn bei Jorge Pensi Diseño in Barcelona und war anschlie-ßend mehrere Jahre in Mailand und Zürich tätig, bevor er 2004sein Studio in Köln gründete.

Am Anfang eines Projekts steht für Nicolai Fuhrmann das Schau-en und Zuhören. Denn für die Qualität des Produkts ist die Quali-tät der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Hersteller und Designer ent-scheidend, sagt er: „Was ist heute in Büro und Schule wichtigerals Kooperation und Teamgeist? Der NF-Chair musste daher einTeamplayer werden. Für mich steht er ebenso für Offenheit wiefür Vielfalt.“

Die fließende Linienführung der Kunststoffschale des NF-Chairsstrahlt Leichtigkeit, Transparenz und Agilität aus. Die Schale bie-tet eine perfekte Sitzform, sie ist hochstabil und gleichzeitig ein-ladend bequem.

Hergestellt wird die Sitzschale in einem speziellen Mehrschicht-verfahren aus recycelbarem Polypropylen. Ein faserverstärkterKern sorgt im Zentrum und bei Bereichen mit hoher Belastungfür Stabilität. An den Randbereichen bleibt die Schale flexibel.Sitzabrundungen verhindern unangenehmen Druck auf die Ober-schenkel.

Die dezente Längsfalte im Sitzbereich verleiht der Schale zusätz-liche Festigkeit nach einem Prinzip, das man von Papierfliegernkennt. So ist der Stuhl jeder Belastung problemlos gewachsen.Und damit in der Schule wie im Büro bestens am Platz.

Hauchdünn und filigran, mit klarer Akzentuierung der Oberfläche– so setzt der NF-Chair seine fließenden Formen überzeugend inSzene. Die schlanke Sitz- und Lehnenschale ist aus Polyproylen inVerbindung mit einem verstärkenden Glasfaserkern hergestellt.

Der spezielle Materialmix sorgt für differenzierte Zonen. Das si-chert hohe Stabilität bei gleichzeitig flexiblen Bereichen, die fürBequemlichkeit sorgen. So biegt sich etwa das vordere Sitzendezur Entlastung nach unten, und auch die Rückenlehne passt sichfür maximalen Sitzkomfort an. Unangenehmer Druck beim Sitzenwird so vermieden.

Paper-thin and delicate, with the emphasis clearly placed on thesurface – that is how the NF-Chair highlights its flowing forms.The slender seat and backrest shell is made from polypropylenecombined with a reinforcing glass-fibre shell.

The special material mix ensures differentiated areas. It guaran-tees great stability combined with flexible areas that ensure avery high level of comfort. For example, the front edge of theseat bends downwards to reduce strain and the backrest can beadapted to ensure maximum comfort while seated. This preventsunpleasant pressure when sitting.

UmweltinformationenFür jedes VS-Produkt erstellen wir Umweltinfos mit Angaben zuMaterial und CO2-Emissionen. Diese werden verursacht durchden Produktionsprozess bei VS, den Transport von Zulieferteilenzu uns und den des Produkts zum Kunden sowie die Gewinnungund Verarbeitung der Materialien vor dem Produktionsprozess.

LanglebigkeitWir produzieren langlebige Produkte und wählen Materialien un-ter umweltorientierten Gesichtspunkten aus. Product responsibility.For VS, responsibility starts with product development and ex-tends through raw materials procurement, manufacturing, adher-ence to quality and emissions standards, delivery, assembly andservice, right through to a return and recycling concept for end-of-life furniture.

Environmental information.We produce environmental information for all VS products withspecifications concerning the material and CO2 emissions. Theseare caused by the production process at VS, the transportation ofparts from suppliers to us and of the product to the customer, aswell as by the acquisition of the materials and their processingduring production.

Durability.We manufacture long-lived products and consider environmentalaspects when choosing our materials. In this way, we make surethat products can be reintegrated in the material cycle. Whenusing our raw materials, we make sure that we reduce offcutsand waste to a minimum.

Strictly monitored and safe.Our products are regularly inspected by well-known, independentinstitutes for quality, safety and environmental responsibility.
