1982年从德国柏林自由大学物理学系取得博士学位。毕业后分别在美国明尼阿波利斯
(明尼苏达州)大学、德国比勒菲尔德大学和马克斯普朗克研究院作为物理学家工
作。 1984年任柏林自由大学“研发和技术转让”部主任。
1994年起担任勃兰登堡州经济事务部主任一职,并自 2007年起负责勃兰登堡州的对外贸
易和市场准入。
2010年 1月安德里亚斯•提摩尔曼教授被德国柏林 -勃兰登堡州航空企业联盟聘为主席。

In 2007, in the framework of the 35th General Plan of the Joint Task (GA) " For the Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure " (dated 6/7/2006) a new directive for the promotion of industry and trade becomes effective.
According to this directive the following maximum promotion rates apply to the
whole State of Brandenburg including locations within the job market region of
Berlin:
Large Enterprises 30%
Medium-Sized Enterprises * 40%
Small Enterprises ** 50%
