Das Stilvoll-Ästhetische mit dem Funktionalen zu verbinden ist eine Kunst, die uns seit

den Gründungstagen von rational im Jahr 1963 immer wieder aufs Neue inspiriert. Dabei

begreifen wir Küchen nicht bloß als Arbeitsplätze, sondern als Orte der Kommunikation

und Begegnung, wo individueller Stil und kulinarische Genüsse aufeinandertreffen und

sich zu einer Collage verschiedener Geschmackserlebnisse vereinen. In diesem Sinne

ist auch das Cover-Motiv zu verstehen, das anlässlich unseres 55jährigen Jubiläums von

Künstler Simon Huhn gestaltet wurde. Das Motiv spiegelt zugleich auch unsere Firmen-

historie wider, die immer von dem Anspruch geprägt war, modernes Design und höchste

Funktionalität stets gemeinsam zu denken und weiter zu entwickeln.

Combining the stylish aesthetic with the functional is an art that has inspired us time and

again, ever since rational’s inception back in 1963. In doing so, we do not regard kitchens

as mere workplaces but as spaces designed for meeting and communicating where

individual style and culinary pleasures coincide, merging into a collage of diverse taste

experiences. This is the context in which also the cover motif, created by the artist Simon

Huhn to mark our 55th anniversary, is to be understood. At the same time the motif

also reflects our company’s history that has been characterized from the outset by our

ambition and commitment to conceive and further develop modern design and maximum

functionality, not as separate entities but always as a unified holistic concept.

Het stijlvol-esthetische verbinden met het functionele is een kunst die ons sinds de

oprichting van rational in het jaar 1963 steeds weer opnieuw inspireert. Wij zien de keuken

hierbij niet slechts als een werkplek, maar als een plaats van communicatie en ontmoeting,

waar de individuele stijl samenkomt met culinair genot en zich verder ontwikkelt tot een

collage van verschillende smaakbelevenissen. In die zin moet ook het motief op de cover

worden gezien, dat door kunstenaar Simon Huhn werd ontworpen naar aanleiding van ons

55-jarige jubileum. Het motief is tevens een weerspiegeling van onze bedrijfsgeschiedenis, die

altijd gekenmerkt werd door ons streven, om modern design en de hoogste functionaliteit

steeds als eenheid te zien en verder te ontwikkelen.

Allier le style et l‘esthétique à la fonctionnalité est un art qui ne cesse de nous inspirer

depuis la création de rational en 1963. Ce faisant, nous considérons les cuisines non

seulement comme des lieux de travail, mais aussi comme des espaces de communication

et de rencontre, où le style individuel et les plaisirs culinaires se rencontrent et s‘associent

pour obtenir un méli-mélo d‘expériences gustatives les plus diverses. C‘est aussi en ce

sens qu‘il convient d‘interpréter le motif de couverture créé par l‘artiste Simon Huhn à

l‘occasion de notre 55e anniversaire. Le motif reflète aussi en même temps l‘histoire de

notre entreprise, qui s‘est toujours distinguée par la volonté de concevoir et de développer

sans cesse à la fois un design moderne et une fonctionnalité d‘exception.

Combinar lo estético cargado de estilo con lo funcional es un arte que nos vuelve a inspirar

cada vez de nuevo desde los días fundacionales de rational en el año 1963. En estos

términos entendemos las cocinas no solo como puestos de trabajo, sino como puntos

de comunicación y encuentro, donde confluyen el estilo individual y el placer culinario

para formar un collage de distintas sensaciones de gusto. En tal sentido se ha de entender

también el motivo de la portada diseñado por el artista Simon Huhn con motivo del 55

aniversario. El motivo refleja además al mismo tiempo nuestra historia empresarial

caracterizada por el deseo de pensar y perfeccionar siempre en conjunto un moderno

diseño y la mayor funcionalidad.
