Dialing for DollarsCampus Services isasking the collegecommunity to help reducetelephone costs during thesetight budget times.Though you may not know it,phone costs quickly add up. During this pastApril alone, the main campus spent over$10,000 on telephone line charges, notincluding phone book listing, long distance, cellphone and networking charges. The collegealso spends anywhere from $15 to $32 permonth for every phone line whether or notthe line is used.Campus Services is asking all departments toexamine their phone system needs to determineif savings can be achieved by eliminatingunneeded phone lines, servicing multiple peoplewith voice mail boxes on a single line, exchanging display caller ID phones forcheaper non-display units, and elimination ofdial-out modem lines that are no longerneeded. Please feel free to call Bernice Armstrong,Program Support Supervisor in CampusServices, at 5322 if you have any questionsrelated to phone system options and charges.
