The Marble Hall

In 1606, Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau had a palace called Altenau,built in a beautiful park for his great love Salome Alt, who bore him fifteen children, ofwhom ten survived. After the death of Wolf Dietrich the palace was given its currentname (Mirabell Palace) by Wolf Dietrich's successor, Markus Sittikus.

The Marble Hall, once the ceremonial hall of the prince archbishops, is now one of themost beautiful wedding halls in the world. Leopold Mozart and his children Wolfgangand Nannerl performed here.

Since then thousands of bridal couples from around the world have enjoyed this romantic destination for their wedding ceremony. The city of Salzburg and the MarbleHall combine history and culture with the wonderful Salzburg cityscape.
