Hardly any technology is currently attracting so much attention as additive manufactur-

ing, which is also called gen-erative manufacturing or 3D printing. Additive manufactur-ing processes are causing a stir among users in the design and packaging, aerospace and auto-motive industries as well as in the fields of dental and medical technology and machines and plant engineering.

The processes promise great freedom of design and allow in-dividual components to be manu-factured with highly complex ge-ometries and internal structures. A presentation at the K 2013 made many plastics processors aware of the opportunities presented by the direct additive manufacturing of plastic parts with thermoplastics. The technologies have matured to such an extent that they are now sometimes being used to comple-

ment or even replace conventional production processes, particularly in view of increasingly fast-chang-ing consumer tastes and trends as well as in view of the new chal-lenges that the industry is facing in regard to the individualisation of plastic products. Messe Düssel-dorf established the 3D fab+print brand three years ago to focus es-pecially on this topic of the future. The K 2016 fair will represent com-prehensive opportunities for visi-tors to explore the possibilities and limits of additive manufacturing.

The 3D fab+print touchpoint in Hall 4 will be the central location for information about these topics. This presentation is being organ-ised and manned by Messe Düssel-dorf in cooperation with its part-ner, KCI Publishing BV – a leading knowledge, communications and information company based in the Netherlands. BTEC srl (Italy) is one of the leaders in innova-tion and trendsetting in PVC profile extru-

sion. Based on the experiences of more than 40 years in the production of extrusion tools for all types of PVC profiles, BTEC is present throughout the world, with its products and ser-vices. BTEC excels especially in the production of tooling used for production of window and roller shutter profiles, window sills, cable ducts, rain gutters, siding and many other similar products.

Since the very beginning, BTEC collaborated closely with custom-ers, following their requests and needs, being able to respond to the challenges of modern trends in technology, often contributing significantly by introducing global innovations. Some of these inno-vations and cutting edge technol-ogy applications are present in the expertise in high speed extrusion, coextrusion, triextrusion, post-coextrusion, the use of fiberglass wire reinforcements, the extrusion of foamed PVC, coextruded profiles with embossment, as some of the latest achievements.

The exclusive use of materials of highest quality, supplied by lead-ing European producers, the sov-ereignty on the whole production process, entirely made in BTEC's own premacies in Italy, the care for each customer, from the order to the natural end of the tools (the tools for window profile are designed to perform more than 5 6 million meters before first revi-sion), are the guarantee, that cus-tomers stay loyal to the brand.

Take a look at the web page: www.btecsrl.com

Tecno System (Italy) is a com-pany producing extrusion lines for profiles and tubes, made of ther-moplastic materials, as well as industrial automation and turnkey systems. The extrusion lines of Tecno System are produced under the historically renowned brand "TPV", present since 1957. These extrusion lines excel with their ro-bust construction, particular cure of details and accurate choice of materials (for example: the frames of our calibration tables are en-tirely made of stainless steel). The components satisfy the needs of energy saving, as the energy effi-cient extruders, electronic vacuum management on calibration units, innovative cutting units with radial hot blade (patented), etc.

The wide range of extruders (mono and conical double screws) of various capacities, can meet most of the needs of Tecno System's cus-tomers. The range of applications is

also very wide: soft and rigid tubes, technical profiles, building profiles, medical tube extrusion lines, lines for the extrusion of thermal break profiles in PA with fiberglass, etc. These lines can extrude various types of plastic materials: plasti-cized and rigid PVC, PC, HDPE, LDPE, PP, PMMA, PA, etc7

You are welcome to check the homepage: www.tecnosystemfe.it We are therefore pleased to in-vite you to visit BTEC and Tecno System at K 2016 exhibition in Düsseldorf. You will find both companies in Hall 15 at the booth 15C62.

At the cutting edge of extrusion

Esametal S.r.l. is a grea-tly qualified company with strong experience in the field related to

the production and welding of aluminium and its alloys and of stainless steel too, ensuring all stages of production from desi-gning to the technological test runs of the products.

Over the years we have mana-ged to qualify the welding pro-cesses on various types of alumi-nium, thus becoming privileged partners of leading European companies both in the design and construction phases of silos

as well as in the electromechani-cal sector.

We manage to weld different aluminum alloys with different statuses such as extrusion mol-ding, casting with metal sheets, die casting with metal sheets, and pressure die casting, mana-ging to achieve optimal results.

In welding, we use both ma-nual and automated techniques, the latter with the aid of robotic systems. The machines used by ESAMETAL for welding are the most modern and technologically advanced that the market has to offer.

It is thanks to these skills that we are currently working with the world's leading companies in the electromechanical sector too.

In the field of silos production, we are able to reach high levels of quality both in the design and pro-duction process, offering three ty-pes of silos such as ESA MONOLITH, ESA NESTING and ESA BOLT.

ESA MONOLITH Always had a careful eye to-

wards all stages of production that are at the heart of the building process of silos, we operate in a 6000 sqm indoor plant with two

25 mt high towers that are inser-ted in the production process, al-lowing optimal management both from the logistic point of view and the finishings.

We can build monolithic silos in various sizes, from a diameter of 1.5 mt to a maximum one of 5.5 mt that can be insulated to store particular goods that require cons-tant temperature such as food like sugar or flour, both for human and animal consumption.

ESA BOLT This type of silo has allowed

ESAMETAL to complete its range, entering into the market of large silos suitable for manufacturers or users of a large amount of raw materials.

The silos ESA BOLT runs up to 800 m³ in capacity, have special applications that make them easy to assemble and ensure resis-tance and solidity and are a valid

alternative to silos built directly on site where particular weather conditions and logistics problems cause the cost of construction to rise.

ESA NESTING To facilitate the transport of

more silos in a single shipment, ESAMETAL has made it possible to stack particular silos one inside the other (from 2 to 5 pieces), according to the size and weight, inventing also an easy way to un-load them and place them once arrived at the construction site.
