So much has taken place and more students have completed the memorization of the Holy Quraan. Students were offered Scholarships along with sponsor awards from the Science fair and have recently received great news about their performance in robotics. WIHS made it the top ten in FRC 2018. We are proud of their efforts and would like to encourage them to keep up the hard work. The registration for the upcoming year is NOW OPEN for grades 9-12. Students may call or contact the school to begin registration. InshaAllah next year the grade 12 class will head off to do Umrah as their graduation trip! The planning is already underway. “Great things never came from comfort zones.” WIHS students have pushed the boundaries of their comfort zones these past few months! So much has taken place and more students have completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’aan. Students were offered Scholarships along with sponsor awards from the Science fair and have recently received great news about their performance in robotics. WIHS made it the top ten in FRC 2018. ROBOTICS 2018

WIHS students began working on their robot over the past months. The students were dedicated and focused to get their robot completed. WIHS Robotics has made it to the top ten of FRC 2018!

ARCADE NIGHT

WIHS presented its annual arcade tournament night! Students came and joined us February 24, 2018 for a fun filled evening. Admission was only $10 to participate in the tournament. There was a game face on between students!

WIHS organized an Information session on "Student Recruitment Opportunity" by guest speaker Radha Patel from University of Windsor. Students witnessed great resources and ideas to get into the job market during their study in school.

VISIT FROM UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR

LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO

WIHS students along with students from Al Hijra and An Noor attended the Legislative Assembly in Ontario. They learned and made a lot of memories.

3D PRINTING: A NEW CHAPTER

WIHS is always dedicated to the development of its students along with the technological advances. As such, the school has brought the latest 3D software and printer for students to use. The Media Arts class will be using the printer for their projects and the other students will also have access to its capacities through the Tech Club.

REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR

In March, students took to St. Clair college to participate in the Science fair. Many students received medals from sponsors and some students even received Scholarships to the University of Ottawa for their amazing projects. They haven’t even reached grade 12 yet!! MashaAllah!

HUFFADH ALERT!

Salman Chowdhury and Mohammad Ebaad are two students that have joined our growing list of Huffadh. This month they have memorized the Qur’aan in its entirety. May Allah allow them to implement it into their daily lives and continue to make their parents and the school proud.

AL-HIJRAH & AN-NOOR VISIT

Br. Fayaz, Ms. Amarah and some students visited Al-Hijrah Academy and An-Noor school to answer questions about the upcoming registration dates. Registration for the upcoming school year is now open. WIHS looks foreword to welcoming students for Fall 2018.

WIHS hosted its first annual Qiraat Competition. Students got to a chance to compete with each other in front of judges. The competition was intense! Many students walked away with prizes and a ton of good deeds.

Although students had a very short amount of time to build their bridge, students were able to compete in this year’s bridge building competition at St. Clair College.
