• Sehr gute Qualifikation der Mitarbeiter: Rang 12 für Chemnitz. Der Anteil der Hochqualifizierten an den sozialversicherungs-pflichtig Beschäftigten ist mit 16,0 % hoch (durchschnitt der 50 größten deutschen städte: 13,4 %).

• hohe arbeitsplatzversorgung: im Zeitraum von 2006 bis 2011 konnte chemnitz die arbeitsplatzversorgung weiter ausbauen (+ 8,5 %). daraus ergibt sich platz 3 im dynamik-ranking (im durchschnitt stieg sie um 4,6 %).

• Beste chancen für Familien: rang 3 für chemnitz - chemnitz verfügt über ein hohes angebot an kindertagesstätten. der anteil an betreuten kindern unter 3 Jahren ist mit 44,2 % hoch (durchschnitt der 50 größten deutschen städte: 23,9 %).

größtes Zentrum des maschinenbaus in ostdeutschland mit circa 100 mittelständischen unternehmen in chemnitz und circa 500 in der region. mehr als die hälfte des umsatzvolumens wird im ausland abgesetzt. im Jahr 2012 wiesen Betriebe mit mehr als 50 Beschäftigten einen auslandsumsatz von 57 % auf.
