®WHAT'S THE GRANULATED ZENIT

®The granulated ZENIT comes from a volcanic rock included between the particular range of the “riolites” and the “dacites". It has the extraordinary capacity of increasing until 20 times its initial volume. It is an inorganic product, steady and chemically neuter (pH between 6.5 and 7.5). The granulated, on its natural state (before thermal treatment) contains water, cause of the fast cooling of the magma in surface.

THE FUSION PROCESSED

The process of fusion of the broken up rock transforms the water in steam. The increase of the ®sparkling volume creates some micro-cavities. These last ones give to granulated ZENIT an

extraordinary capacity of absorption.

GRANULATED STRUCTURE

The granulated structure has been studied by the electronic microscope. She shows the presence of pores (small hales with reduced measurements), as well as closed cells. This particular structure confers to the granulated, on one hand a permeability to the air actived by the porosity, and on the other hand the capacity to be waterproof to the molecules of water, thanks to the closed cells.The structural porous part of the granulated is very specific: the macrospores are more numerous than the microspores. This feature is important so that the product has an absorbing action very efficient. The granulated cells preserves even their absorbing property when they are slightly crushed.

APPLICATIONS

®One of the main features of the granulated ZENIT S is its capacity to be used in various cases, even though its main purpose consists in absorbing oils and hydrocarbures.

®ZENIT S is a mineral chemically inert which guarantees also good results for the absorption of acid, exception made for the fluorhydric acid with whom it goes in solution.

®Thanks to its mineral feature, ZENIT S is particularly adapted for the absorption of accidental tipping on roads, higways, etc.

The difference with all other used substances containing clay, resides in the fact that the granulated ®ZENIT S guarantees a good contact on the soil, even if it was not moved perfectly.

®Moreover, ZENIT S doesn't release the absorbed oils. It preserves them until saturation. By this way, the mineral could be collected in all tranquillity without propagating of task of oil on the soil.

®About the recycling, ZENIT S, being an entirely natural product, it could be flowed into public discharge, or be incinerated in an oven.

Excellent results are obtained on compact and unasphalted soils. The granulate is even able to absorb oils already penetrated in the soil (first superficial bed of soil). In this case, acting quickly is fundamental to obtain good results.

WATER

®ZENIT A is a granulated of mineral origin obtained by a particular treatment, based on thermal expansion to high temperature and successive addition of resins. These processes confer to the product exceptional absorption qualities for oils and other harmful substances. The

®ZENIT A is indispensable in order to collect the oils and the hydrocarbons situated on the water (sea, lake, river, etc.) or whatever on the liquid surface of different nature

®(reservoirs, cisterns). ZENIT A is also indicate for the treatment of oily emulsions, and also in the facilities of

®treatment of the waters. ZENIT A is a product tested by Ministero della Difesa - Marina Militare Italiana according to Mil. Spec. MM10PC Type B.

UTILIZATION

The products must be set down on the stains on the water surface. It must be measured out in proportion to the credentials indicated on the assessment. For the opening of the bag, it will used its superior part. Move product with water jet or mechanically to facilitate absorption. ®FAST FILLER

The FAST FILLER® is a product especially designed in accordance with thre requirements of the most famous road course track. It is a product, with extra fine granulometry, made through thermal foaming of a particular kind of magma rock able to ensure an immediate and powerful absorbing capacity. The mineral nature and the physical transformation, obtained by high temperature thermical treatment, give the product the extraordinary capacity to promptly absorbing greases and hydrocarbures without giving them back up to complete saturation. Thanks to its consistence, obtained by a specific treatment able to ensure the complete powders lowering, the product is particularly suitable to various uses. Besides, this treatment enables the product, with an apparent density very low, to be easily used even in case of wind. The white colour allows an easy detection of the treated areas.

UTILIZATION

In case of accidental spillings, it has to be strewed on the grease stain. In order to make easier the absorbing capacity, it is recommended, when possible, to stir the product by means of rigid brooms, by adding further granular up to complete absorption. The product is easily removed with bolt of water or with suitable tools. In both cases, thanks to the property of non-giving back absorbed greases, there is no risk of greasy propagations both on dry and wet grounds.

®FITOSORB

FITOSORB® is a vegetal microgranules product which, thanks to its properties, is able to absorb pollutant agents and grease substances, without giving them back. FITOSORB® is a product particularly indicated for absorbing not only greases and hydrocarbures, but also pollutant liquids of various nature, as leakages of organic liquids.

In case of accidental spillings, it has to be strewed on the grease stainin proportions suitable as per table data. In order to make easier the absorbing capacity, it is recommended, when possible, to stir the product by means of any tool, by adding further product up to complete absorption.

SEPIOLITA

Is a porous mineral, especially able to the absorpition of all accidental spilling of oil substances and acid on road , higways and asphalt. It's a granulated, with a weight of 540/570 gr/lt about. Sepitol is adapts for the use when there is the wind.

UTILISATION

Spread the granulated on the task to absorb and pick up it when the objective is reached. The Sepitol granulated has a coloration cream, it attains its saturation when it becomes brown dark.

SAFETY RULES

The use of the Sepitola doesn't require of particular rules because it is inert. But it is necessary to remind however, that during some absorption operations such as picking up, storaging disposing of, it is necessary to refer to the norms in force regarding the absorbed substances.

®ZENIT S/13

ZENIT®S/13 is a product, with extra fine granulometry, made through thermal foaming of a particular kind of magma rock. The mineral nature and the physical transformation, obtained by high temperature thermical treatment, give the product the extraordinary capacity to promptly absorbing greases and hydrocarbures. Thanks to its characteristics, ZENIT®S/13 is particularly suitable for tickening slimes and depths by making them shovellable with the addition of insignificant weight (1mc absorbs about 500 liquid liters and weights only 70-80 kg), by allowing a safe transport. ZENIT®S/13 can be used for neutralising the odorous substances exhalations. In fact, the product eliminates the contact between the liquid surface and the atmosphere; besides, it is able to absorb odors. ZENIT®S/13 is particularly indicated for filtering greasy wastes; it is used in open tanks, decantation tanks, leaching cesspools, sumps, sewage treatment plants, etc.... The product is used without any handling since it is a natural product.

ZENIT DE is a ore belonged to diatomée's rocks. By mechanical and heat treatment, without any other chemical's product, are obtained the high quality granules.

VERTICAL LIGHT BOOMBL/45

BL/45 is a boom designed and manufactured to making up the traditional disadvantages of the other barriers. In fact BL/45 is very light (only kg/m 1.3) and its volume is extremely reduced (the m 12 modules, folded back, have an overall dimension equal to cm 45x70x45h); said qualities make BL/45 ideal for use in mountain streams, rivers and canals. The reduced height of the hand-made article enables, in the immerged part, a correct waters downflow and, in the emerging part, a lower resistance to wind. The boom BL/45 is manufactured in sound polyester fabric, coated on both sides by PVC compound, which ensures durable resistance characteristics. The boom is equipped with a simple and efficient head junction device, enabling to avoid grease residuals and hydrocarbures leakages close the modules junctions. Both sides of the hand-made article, thanks to the position of the floats inside the fabric, do not present any kind of unnevenness, by making a better slipping of pollutant agents and an easy cleaning. A further considerable advantage of the boom BL/45 is that, once modules have been folded back, it can be moored as a buoy, instead of being removed and got back ashore, especially when the sea-meteo conditions are difficult.

Owing to its technical characteristics, AR/70 is able to satisfy, with a balanced quality/price ratio, the requirements of oil industry, of fishing (fish breedings, fish-ponds) and of chemical and petro-chemical industry. The hand-made article can be considered as a real floating enclosure perfectly suitable for protecting not only from greases and hydrocarbures, but also from floating wastes. The boom is usually supplied orange-coloured, but it can be realised with other colours for specific uses.

MAINTENANCE

Thanks to its simplicity and to the quality of materials used, the boom AR/70 doesn't need any particular maintenance operation. Anyway, it is necessary, after each use, to carry out a careful cleaning. In any case, even in presence of tearings due to bad sea-meteo conditions, ZENIT Ambiente is able to provide possible maintenance operations and to give the necessary advises for small repairs.

AR/70 is a particular type of boom designed for protecting from pollutant agents coast tracts, wet docks and marinas. Thanks to an excellent weight and floating thrust ratio, the boom is able to adapt itself to the wave motion by enabling, even in bad conditions, a good containment capacity. The AR/70 is manufactured in sound polyester fabric, coated on both sides by PVC compound, which ensures durable resistance characteristics. The hand-made article has been designed for avoiding grips and obstacles to possible wastes accumulating; therefore the thrust and ballast device has been positioned on only one side, in such a way that the opposite side ensure an easy sliding of pollutant agents.

USES

AR/85 is born to operate in military harbour, oil industry. Is supplied in yellow and red fabric.

The boom AR/85 has been designed for protecting from pollutant agents industrial sites, refineries, harbours, etc.. The boom is supplied in 25 m. sections. The hand-made article is constituted of a PVC cloth resisting to chemical agents, reinforced with high mechanical resistance polyester fibers. Floating is ensured by expanded material elements, inserted in suitable PVC pockets. The system stability is ensured by lead shaped ballasts housed in the same above pockets. The modules junction device of the boom is "quick release" type for making easy the detachment, if necessary, by anyway ensuring the continuity of containment.

OIL SORBENT BOOMSZ/FP

The booms Z/FP are articles totally hand-made. The components materials are scrupulously selected in order to ensure them a long stay both in fresh and sea waters. Booms are supplied in 10 m. and multiples modules. For particular situations it is possible to realize sections with intermediate measures. The hand-made articles are used in permanent plants for containing foams, grease residuals and floating solid wastes. The Z/FP are able to keeping the absorbed greases and ensure the containment of the same even in case of complete saturation.

The booms are constituted of a central rope (in nylon, polyester or stainless steel) on which are fitted suitable floats provided with central hole and passing. Made with a particular foam, floats are sized according to the various diameters required. Constituted of bearing rope, floats and spacers, the barrier core is coated with polypropylene staple, pressed inside a first net coating in order to make it compact and uniform. A further T.N.T. double coating as well as a polypropylene net will ensure the staple sealing and a perfect circular shape. Thanks to the particular care of the handicraft construction, the selected materials, the booms Z/FP can be considered as extremely reliable for what concerns use, efficiency and duration. Upon request, booms can be provided with ballasted appendix and PVC coating, in any colour.

The type BO booms, light and easy to be installed, they are perfect for holding actions against pollutions made by hydrocarbon in chutes and torrents. Made with a really hard support in polyester, buttered in both the sides by PVC. The floatation and the reserve of thrust are assured by particular cylindrical forms, made by Stratocel (polyethylene foam) encapsulate into the tissue by thermal solder joints.An adequate ballasted appendix guarantees the boom's stability and a continuity of containment. The reaction to the total traction, offered by the polyester issue, is more than 3600 Kg, in any case, as another guarantee, the singular module's chains, used as ballast, can be linked one another growing more the robustness of the artefact.The boom is delivered in standard segments of 10mt. or in the sizes asked by the customer. Any segment is assembled by connector iron steel AISI 316 and fixed with screws and thumb nuts.By request of customer is possible to build modules with a diameter till 30 cm. and appendixes of 100 cm.

MAINTENANCE

The easy way of construction and the high-quality of the materials invested, let that the boom doesn't need of particular acts of maintenance. In any case is essential, at the end of any use, to provide an accurate mopping before any job of remittance. For any eventual cases , and also in case of laceration made by adverse meteorologic conditions. Our society hedger to casual maintenance operations and to help for the smalls companies.

USES

The BO model is born to satisfy the claims of employment for fixed or semi-fixed barriers; for example, into rivers where the flow doesn't concur the use of verticals booms. Usually the boom is delivered with is original orange color, but under request of the Costumer, it can be made in other different colors.


HEAVY DUTY BOOMBR60


The boom's body of the BR 60 model is made by an heavy-duty issue in polyester at mechanical highest resistance, buttered both sides by PVC (BA1200 issue, yellow with a traction's resistance like 750 kg/5cm). This stuff made the bringing structure of the boom that is build with standard modules of 10mt, or in different size. On the modules are fixed floating elements, made of trapezoidal sections, build with double part linked each other, for almost 25lt each.

The black floats are distanced each other with regular breaks to allow a perfect adaptability to the sea movement. The floats have been made in expanded polyurethane made of closed cells with high density (150 kg/mc). The boom's assemblage cames just linking one module to the next using connector plate and inox screws.

One galvanized chain inserted in the appendix's pocket guarantee the stability. This boom is formally indicated to be used as a permanent in fixed implants. A very important advantage of this boom is the major resistance to the floats usury made in polyurethane of high density. And in any case, one time consumed, a float can be replaced with a new one.

This boom have been studied to limitate the eccessive dispersion of sediments lodged on the bottom sea, moved during the operas of dredging and digging.The boom contain a floating zone used also for the holding actions of scums, oils and what else could be dispersed in floating, and a dipped zone that it guarantee the holding action of what have been removed and is still in suspension on the water during the working phases.The emerged side is built with an heavy issue of polyester with an high mechanical resistance buttered with PVC. This stuff costitute the carrying structure of the boom that is realized in 10mt. standard modules each. Pushing elements are fixed on the modules, they have trapezoidal sections, made of two coupled sides. The floats are separated one an other with regular interruptions to assure a perfect adaptability to the waves movement. The stuff used to build it is an expanded polyurethane foam of high density with closed cells. Floats are delivered taken apart from the cloth for a reasonable transport and stocking.The dipped side of the boom (or draft) is built with a polyester issue buttered with PVC. Any cloth is thermally wormed up till to build the below side on any module. The assemblage and the depth regulation system are different for any kind of models. On the TOP model in a distance of almost 5 mt, on

both sides, galvanized iron's rings are heat sealed with 100 cm breaks one from the other. Polyethylene ropes slides into the rings so to allow the “draft” regulation in any depth of the bottom of the sea. The dipped side are linked each other with hinges in plastic stuff. As an other guarantee of holding action, a PVC cloth, equipped with a “Velcro®” system, seals the splices.

On the MIDDLE model in a distance of almost 5 mt., in both sides, galvanized iron rings are thermal welded with vertical brakes of 100 cm. one each other. Polyethylene ropes slides into the rings so to allow the “draft” regulation in any depth of the bottom of the sea. Contrary the dipped sides are linked each other using a strop fastening system.

In the end, the BASE model doesn't have a particular regulation of the draft's depth, and the dipped zones are pieced each other by an elastic rope.

ECO BOAT

Our boat are studied to harvest and to collect the lacustrine vegetation or solid refuses in suspension, and they claim the following characteristic:

. - Hull and tapes made of iron

. - Frontal collection tape set on the prow

. - Horizontal stocking tape fixed on the deck

. - Continued exhaust tape set on the stern

. - Oil dynamic equipment on board dictated by diesel motor, refrigerated by air/water or by heath exchanger for hull.

. - Motor installed under the exhaust tape, in a space that contains also the complete oil dynamic system

. - Propulsion made by eolian or paddles wheels.

. - All the structures (looms, tapes, pontoon bridges, berths, etc.) are made with iron FE, sandblasted and painted.

.The boat are built under the surveillance of R.I.N.A. (Italian Naval Register), that is the office that issue the certifications for navigability and tonnage in Italy. The boat are modified to be adapted to the necessity of anyone Customer. Under request they can be equipped with all the necessary anti-pollution systems ( ex. rollers for booms, skimmers, recoil systems, etc.). For any other particular necessity they can be projected for the independent movement also on earth, with the aid of tracks.


MODULAR BUOYS

The modular buoys ZENIT are conceived to be adapted to the various operative requirements you can find in restricted waters or in open sea. Their design is studied in function of the Costumers requests to untwine at their best their functions.

The buoys are built with an iron structure painted with specific varnish against corrosion. Normally the upper part of their structure holds a center for an eventual lodging of a brighting signal, of for other identifying signals, on the low part ballasts and eyebolts are fixed for the mooring. In the medium part, floats are fixed in a number and position that is variable depending on the various pushing requirements. Used floats are build with rotational polyethylene at high resistance, fulled with polyurethane's foam. The ballast is made of discs counterbalances made of bobby; this solution let us to modulate the buoy's balance in water just with a variation of the number, and the weight, of the discs.

®ZENIT PULPPOLYPROPYLENE MICROFIBRES “MELT BLOWN”

The microfibre in polypropylene ZENIT®Pulp has the property to absorb minerals oils, hydrocarbons and other nocive substances for the environment conserving the intrinsic characteristic of water repellency.

This microfibre assures a real major absorption of oils and other dangerous substances, more than the traditional polypropylene's pulps. One gram absorbs till gr. 14-18 of motor's oil.

ZENIT Pulp has the property to not give up the absorbed oils, so to be able to guarantee the floatation also if arrived at the state of saturation.

ZENIT Pulp is parcelled to satisfy different necessity to the different kinds of pollutions, with his artefact origins, as coils and sheets, can be used, and it is, into the booms as the absorption issue.

The 810SN and 510SN barriers are totally hand made. The components materials used are scrupulously selected in order to ensure the products a long stay both and fresh and sea waters. The 810SN barriers are supplied in standard 3 m. sections. The only difference between the two models is the diameter of the barrier body, 12 cm. for the 510SN model and 20 cm. for the model 810SN.Any segment is assembled to the next by a splice of shakles and loops till you achieve the wished length. Those booms are perfect for ready functions and temporal obstructions. More over the artefacts have the propriety of no give-back the absorbed oils and they assure the holding action of their own also if they're arrived to the complete saturation.They are made of a central soul made of a peculiar polypropylene's flake conditioned in his bore by a forced net's tubular. Dispersant degreaser - Technical Information

TC 66

Detergent for cold cleaning of oil-tankers, mineral oil vessels and parts of machinery, and for decontamination of sea from hydrocarbons.

TC 66 is a mineral oil emulsifying/dispersing detergent, widely used for cleaning vessel tanks and refinery tanks and for removing hydrocarbons from seawater and coasts.TC66 is capable to fluidify oily sediments remained on tank surfaces, thus obtaining, by water washing, saleable slops. After washing, the tank proves to be fully clean.

The beneficial effects of the TC 66 as dispersant in Oil spill in marine system are the following:

A)by increasing the surface area and thereby promoting microbial degradation of the Oil TC 66, can increase the degradation rate 10 to 100 times that of non emulsified Oil;B) dispersed Oil does not adhere to bird feathers, pilings, boats, of beach sand;C) the dispersion of the Oil in the water column reduces the fire hazard;D) dispersed Oil does not form tar residues.

TC66 cleaning/decontamination instructions:a) Tank cleaning: spray the surfaces to be cleaned with customary-type nozzle; wait for a few minutes until a chemical disaggregation reaction occurs, then spray the surfaces with pressure water.b) Cleaning of engines and parts of machinery: plunge the mechanical parts to be treated into tanks filled with TC 66, then wait for 5 mins before withdrawing the parts, which will prove absolutely clean. The product remained into the tank can be re-used for many and many cleaning operations, until complete consumption of the detergent disgregating agent occurs. Cleaning of engines and their parts may be made by means of sprayers.c) Decontamination of seawater or sheets of water: TC 66 may be either sprayed over the oily layer with customery-type nozzles or directly poured by drums or hoses. After a few minutes, the emulsifying-dispersing action occurs: if the sea surface is adequately rough, then dispersion progresses excellently and constantly in a natural manner. In case of calm sea or enclosed water sheets, we recommend to help dispersion by water spraying the zone with a pump- a fire fighting pump or any other pump installed on board can be used.

PACKACING

It is available in 20/50/100 lt plastic and metal drums. Ready-for-use TC 66 can be stored .

TC66 is a sea-decontaminating agent approved by Italian Ministry of Merchant Marine, that gave its approval after satisfactory examinations carried out by Italian Board of the Health Ministry. Moreover, TC 66 is a cleaning agent approved by the Italian Navy Ministry for freeing metal surfaces from mineral oils since it complies with NAV- 01-MM-6/PC standard.It is currently used by shipyards, Italian Railroad Authority, Italian Electricity Board, refineries, etc. for cleaning mineral oil tanks onboard either trade or navy vessels.
