In Nederland 135 gevestigde soorten (waarschijnlijk)

In kassen ca. 12 schadelijke soorten, waarvan 9 exoten

Zeer veel nieuwe soorten die incidenteel worden gemeld bij import plantmateriaal

7 redenen voor herkenning

1) Verschil in verspreidingsgedrag

2) Positie in de plant (rakingskans spuiten)

3) Wel of geen polleneter (risico bijvoeren roofmijten)

4) Verschil in gevoeligheid middelen

5) Verschil in prooigeschiktheid voor roofmijten

6) Sommige soorten zijn niet schadelijk (invlieg graantrips)

7) Verschil in overdracht virussen
