CHEMIE IM KRAFTWERK 2014Auf der diesjährigen Chemiekonferenz wird es einen interessanten Einführungs- und Abschiedsvortrag des langjährigen Konferenzleiters Prof. Dr. Herwig Maier geben, der darlegt, dass alles Kraftwerk letztendlich Chemie ist.Neben der Vorstellung des aktuell überarbeiteten VGB-S-513 über die innere Reinigung von Wasserrohr-Dampferzeugeranlagen und Rohrleitungen gibt es zu diesem Schwerpunkt auch interessante Beiträge zur generellen Kraftwerkskonservierung.Wie auch im letzten Jahr, werden neue Aspekte zum Einsatz der Membrantechnik in der Wasseraufbereitung beleuchtet und interessante Neuerungen bei der Messtechnik dazu sowie im Bereich des Wasser-Dampf-Kreislaufs vorgestellt. Daneben gibt es außerdem interessante Praxisbeispiele aus der langjährigen Erfahrung des VGB bei der Überprüfung von Wasser-Dampf-Kreisläufen. Es wird weiterhin über die Auswirkungen einer Meerwasserkontamination auf den WDK eines ultra-überkritischen Dampfkraftwerks berichtet.Im Bereich der Nuklearchemie wird auf die Probleme bei der online-Analyse im Primärkreislauf sowie dem Muschelbewuchs im Kühlwassersystem eingegangen. Erste Erfahrungen mit der chemi-schen Dekontamination werden aufgezeigt.Auch in diesem Jahr wird das Ergebnis eines Ringversuches vorgestellt, diesmal zu dem Thema der Analytik von Ersatzbrennstof-fen.Die Konferenz wird wieder von einer interessanten Fach- ausstellung begleitet.

CHEMISTRY IN POWER PLANTS 2014At this year’s chemistry conference an interesting introduction and farewell lecture will be given by the long-term conference chairman Prof. Dr. Herwig Maier, who argues that all power plant is ultimately chemistry. Besides the presentation of the currently revised VGB-S-513 on the internal cleaning of water-tube steam generating plants and associated pipework, there are also interesting inputs to this focus on the overall power plant preservation. As in the previous year, new aspects on the use of membrane technology in water treatment are highlighted and interesting innovations in measurement technology in this area as well as for water-steam cycles will be introduced. There are also interesting practical examples from the extensive experience of VGB in the examination of water-steam cycles. A report on the effects of sea water contamination on the WSC of an ultra-supercritical steam power plant will be given. For nuclear chemistry the problems of on-line analysis in the primary circuit and the mussel growth in the cooling water system will be shown. First experiences with the chemical decontamination will be presented. This year, the result of a round robin test will also be shown, this time the analytics of substitute fuels.The conference is accompanied again by an interesting exhibition.
