KHP - Facts
Kaliumhydrogenphosphonat (KHP)ist ein Salz der Phosphorigen Säure
K(H2PO3)K2(HPO3) H3PO3
Phosphorige Säure (Phos. S.)ist die biologisch aktive Formvon KHP.
in H2Oin H2O
Kaliumhydrogenphosphonat (KHP)ist der Wirkstoff - dieser ist ein Salz und besteht aus Kalium- Mono- und Dihydrogenphosphaten.
Phosphorige Säure - Mode of Action

Resistance risk
Mode of action: Dithianon is a multi-site inhibitor. KHP is a systemic active fungicide with a unique mode of action based on two principles:
direct antifungal activity + SAR induction.
Evidence of resistance: Dithianon: no reports of reduced sensitivity on Venturia. KHP: no reports of reduced sensitivity on Venturia.
Resistance risk assessment: Dithianon is considered as a low risk compound. KHP resistance risk can be seen rather low than medium.
Conclusion: Delan Pro has low risk of Venturia resistance. Delan Pro can be used as standalone treatment following the label recommendations. Delan Pro can act as resistance management tool for other Scab fungicides.
Applied according to its authorised label, Delan Pro’s residues of Phosphonic Acid and Dithianon remain well below the current EU MRLs.
Delan Pro residues can be managed to meet all retailer standards (e.g. <33% of MRL).
The use of Phosphonates-generating foliar fertilizers is unregulated. The EU MRL does not not take so-called ‘fertilizer’ uses into consideration.
 Watch outs:
Manage and minimise Phosphonic Acid residues by avoiding the excessive use of other sources of Phosphonic Acid such as certain foliar ‘fertilizers’ and Phosphonates fungicides (including fosetyl-Al).
Delan Pro: Meeting your food value chain demands
Delan Pro: Residue behavior: Meeting your food value chain demands
Applied according to the authorised maximum dose and minimum PHI of 35 days, Phosphonic Acid residues stayed well within the current MRL of 75 mg/kg in pome fruit.
Phosphonic Acid residues remained stable and showed little decline in the first six weeks (42 days) after application.
Dithianon residues were also well within the MRL and showed a significant decline within 42 days after application.
Worst-case GAP applications of Delan Pro alone resulted in Phosphonic Acid MRL utilisation rates ranging from 5% to 27% at the PHI of 35 days. Therefore, Delan Pro will produce a relatively low contribution to the total levels of Phosphonic Acid arising from all combined sources at harvest.
 Watch outs:
Manage and minimise Phosphonic Acid residues by avoiding the excessive use of other sources of Phosphonic Acid such as certain foliar ‘fertilizers’ and Phosphonates fungicides (including fosetyl-Al).
