The , established as a virtual meetme room, lives from the differentconnectivity of all the customers connected to it and as the largest TK marketplace in Europe, it provides a link in the heart of Frankfurt for customersfrom all over the world. In order to meet the current requirements of ourcustomers, the product portfolio from ancotel has again been expandedwith important additional functions and band width adjustments. We willtell you about this below:

(Fractional E1) - E0 (64 kbit/s) connections now possible directly in

the !

In the band width range of E0 (64 kbit/s) signals, ancotel has completed theimplementation of this type of connection directly in the .

Single or even n-way E0 signals in so-called partially loaded (fractional) E1scannot be connected together directly in standard SDH networks and topo-logies and they must generally be connected onwards as a complete E1line.

The expansion of the with the E0 range was completed with carrierclass digital cross-connect systems and, as a high performance expansion,it closes the gap in the lower range of the band width sector.

With this expansion, a further valuable and important tool for network opti-misation is provided for ancotel clients. Examples of applications that canbe considered include bundling/grooming of low-traffic routes or signallingchannels.

These additional functions are now connected to the ancotel andalready being actively used by several customers.

(Fractional E1) - E0 (64 kbit/s) Verschaltungen jetzt direkt im

möglich!

Im Bandbreitenbereich von E0-(64-kbit/s-)Signalen hat ancotel die Realisie-rungsmöglichkeit von derartigen Verschaltungen direkt im abgeschlos-sen.

Einzelne oder oder auch n-fache E0-Signale in sogenannten teilbestückten(fractional) E1 können in üblichen SDH-Netzwerken und Topologien nichtdirekt miteinander verschaltet werden und müssen in der Regel als ganze E1-Leitung weiterverschaltet werden.

Die Erweiterung des um den E0-Bereich erfolgte mit digitalen Carrier-Class-Crossconnectsystemen und schließt als leistungsfähige Erweiterungdie Lücke des im unteren Bereich des Bandbreitensegments.

Mit dieser Erweiterung wird den ancotel Kunden ein weiteres wertvolles undwichtiges Tool zur Netzwerkoptimierung angeboten. Als Anwendung kommtzum Beispiel die Bündelung bzw. das Grooming von verkehrsdünnen Routenoder von Signalisierungskanälen infrage.

Diese zusätzlichen Funktionen sind nunmehr an den ancotel ange-schlossen und werden auch schon von mehreren Kunden aktiv genutzt.

Gigabit Ethernet over SDH

This function of the mapping of individual VC-4 containers from oneSDH network to one Ethernet network was previously available only withlimited functionality, as the standardisation had not yet been implementedby all system suppliers and there was therefore the possibility that systemincompatibilities could occur.With the current update of the ancotel , ancotel is now expandingthese functions in order to achieve better connection opportunities. Allsystems that are compliant with the standards (LCAS/VCAT/GFP) will soonbe able to uncouple Ethernet frames from the SDH network and transferthem into Ethernet interfaces on the .

In addition to the 1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s interfaces, interfaces in the fastEthernet range are also possible.

STM-64, the new standard

Markets are growing, networks are expanding.

The opportunity for adaptations on the ancotel network and the marketplace created by this is as important as it is necessary.

STM-64/10 Gbit interfaces are available to the at all ancotel locations.With this, ancotel is expanding the band width sector of the into theupper SDH interface range. Furthermore, the use of the STM-64/10 Gbit sig-nal current is also directly compatible with the wave lengths of the DWDMsystems used by our customers. In accordance with their wavelength requi-

Dem stehen an allen ancotel Standorten STM-64-/10-Gbit-Schnittstel-len zur Verfügung. Damit erweitert ancotel das Bandbreitensegment des

in den oberen SDH-Schnittstellenbereich. Die Benutzung der STM-64-/10-Gbit-Signalströme ist außerdem direkt kompatibel mit den Wellenlängender von unseren Kunden verwendeten DWDM-Systeme. Entsprechend deren

Missing or inadequate clock synchronisation becomes noticeable in opera-tion through the appearance of bit errors on the data lines, which canusually be avoided by hiring a clock output on the ancotel master clocksystem.

goodnews: Hello Ms Wollziefer. Firstly, congratulations on your promotion!You are now a Finance Executive in the Finance team. How long have youbeen working for ancotel though?

Kerstin Wollziefer (KW): Thank you. I started by training as an office execu-tive. From September 2003, I worked in the ancotel Finance team as aFinance Assistant. I am now a Finance Executive and in August, I will startfurther occupational training as an accountant.

goodnews: For whom are you the first point of contact for invoices etc andwhat is your area of responsibility?

KW: I process current accounts but mainly debtors. This means that I workvery closely with the management and with Margit Trogisch, the FinanceDirector.

goodnews: Hallo Frau Wollziefer, erst mal herzlichen Glückwunsch zu IhrerBeförderung! Sie sind ja nun Finance Executive im Team Finance. Wie langearbeiten Sie eigentlich schon bei ancotel?

Kerstin Wollziefer (KW): Danke schön! Zunächst habe ich eine Ausbildungzur Bürokauffrau gemacht. Seit September 2003 habe ich als Finance Assis-tant im Team Finance bei ancotel gearbeitet. Jetzt bin ich Finance Executiveund werde im August eine berufsbegleitende Weiterbildung zur Bilanzbuchhal-terin beginnen.

goodnews: Für wen sind Sie denn der erste Ansprechpartner, wenn es umRechnungen usw. geht, und was ist Ihr Aufgabengebiet?

KW: Ich bearbeite die laufende Buchhaltung, hauptsächlich aber die Debito-ren. Dafür arbeite ich eng mit der Geschäftsleitung und Margit Trogisch,Director Finance, zusammen.

goodnews: You are responsible for processing outgoing invoices fromancotel, which means that some customers will certainly already know you.

KW: Yes. I am responsible for all correspondence with our customers on theissue of invoices, payments or credit. At this point, I would like to take theopportunity to ask our customers to advise me of their direct contact inaccounts, as this information would significantly shorten the processingpath for invoices etc.

goodnews: Is there anything the customers should take note of when paying invoices?

KW: When customers pay their invoice balance, it is important that theyalways specify their customer number or the invoice number. This allows usto immediately assign the payment to the order. Some customers receivean e-mail in addition to the posted invoice. For customers e.g. from theUSA or Russia, the advantage of this is that they have more time to processthe invoices.

KW: Genau. Ich bin für die komplette Korrespondenz mit unseren Kundenverantwortlich, wenn es um das Thema Rechnungen, Zahlungen oder Gut-schriften geht. An dieser Stelle würde ich gerne unsere Kunden bitten, mirihren direkten Ansprechpartner aus der Buchhaltung zu nennen, da dieseInformationen den Bearbeitungsweg von Rechnungen usw. wesentlich ver-kürzen würden.

goodnews: Müssen die Kunden etwas beim Bezahlen der Rechnung beachten?

KW: Wichtig ist, dass die Kunden bei der Überweisung des Rechnungsbetra-ges immer ihre Kundennummer mit angeben oder auch die Rechnungsnum-mer. So können wir die Zahlungen sofort dem Auftrag zuordnen. Zu einigenKunden wird zusätzlich zum Versand der Rechnung per Post eine E-Mailgesandt. Dies hat den Vorteil für Kunden z. B. aus den USA oder Russland,dass sie mehr Zeit haben, die Rechnungen zu bearbeiten.

JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge – ancotel auf Platz 33.Auch in diesem Jahr nahm ancotel wieder am JPMorgan-Chase-Lauf teil, zudem am 13. Juni um 19.30 Uhr der Startschuss in der Frankfurter Innenstadtfiel. Der Wettbewerb wird in zehn Städten der Vereinigten Staaten, zwei euro-päischen Städten (London, Frankfurt) sowie Sydney (Australien), Singapurund Johannesburg (Südafrika) ausgetragen.67.270 Arbeitnehmer aus den verschiedensten Branchen sind an diesemAbend bei strahlendem Sonnenschein durch die Mainmetropole gelaufen.5,6 Kilometer mussten die Läufer beim sogenannten JPMorgan Chase Corpo-rate Challenge bewältigen, der als größter Firmenlauf der Welt gilt. Der Fir-menlauf trägt den Namen Corporate Challenge (engl.: Firmenherausforde-rung). Veranstalter ist der Finanzdienstleister JPMorgan Chase & Co. DieBank organisiert den Firmenlauf in mehreren Ländern, in New York seit 1977,in Frankfurt seit 1993.

The competition is held in ten cities in the United States and twoEuropean cities (London, Frankfurt), as well as Sydney (Australia),Singapore and Johannesburg (South Africa).On this evening, 67,270 participants from the broadest range of industriesran through the Main metropolis in bright sunshine. In the so-called JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge – the largest company race in the world – therunners had to complete a 5.6 kilometre course. The company race isnamed Corporate Challenge. It is organised by financial services providerJPMorgan Chase & Co. The bank organises the company race in severalcountries and has been doing so since 1977 in New York and since 1993 inFrankfurt.

News from ancotelA group of carriers, providers and government representatives gatheredtogether in Kyiv on 7-8 June 2007, to discuss the vital need to improve traf-fic delivery to the region of Caucasus countries, Central Asia countries,Kazakhstan and China. At this fourth TCBS Meeting (the three previousmeetings took place in Odessa, Shanghai and Baku), the participants con-centrated their attention on the problem of crossing the Caspian Sea andthe Black Sea by means of construction of submarine fibreoptic cablesystem, whereas ancotel in Frankfurt am Main and Hong Kong are conside-red to be the logical termination points in Europe and China respectively.

This meeting was organised by Novatel Ukraine, a member of MagyarTelekom Group. The Hungary-based Magyar Telekom has 2*STM-64 links toancotel’s in Frankfurt am Main, and since 2006, Novatel Ukraine hasalso established a connection to ancotel’s .

The delegation from ancotel presented at a very high level, namely Mana-ging Director Udo Müller and Senior Service Technician Georgi Barski.Georgi was especially enthusiastic about this visit, as it was a visit to hiscountry of birth, where he was also able to communicate in his nativelanguage.

In total, there were 60 representatives of 37 companies from 13 countrieswho participated in the Kyiv TCBS Meeting. Operators present includedUnited Telecom of Georgia, Delta Telecom, Datacom Georgia, KazTransCom,Kazakhtelecom, Ministry of Telecommunications of Azerbaijan, AzEuroTel,Aztelecom, Magyar Telecom, MoldTelecom, Turk Telekom, Novatel Ukraine,Golden Telecom and UMC, as well as many others.

All of them mentioned the problem of the growing traffic delivery fromEurope to the Middle East, the Caucasus region, Central Asia and China,mainly as a result of the following reasons: – The high price of TAE routes crossing the Black Sea region; – The ITUR submarine cable system between Turkey and Ukraine (PDH

technology) does not satisfy modern requirements;

Dieses Treffen wurde von Novatel Ukraine, einem Mitglied der Magyar Tele-kom Group, organisiert. Die in Ungarn ansässige Magyar Telekom hat2*STM-64-Verbindungen zu ancotels in Frankfurt am Main und NovatelUkraine unterhält seit 2006 ebenfalls eine Verbindung zu ancotels .

Die ancotel Delegation bestand aus sehr hochrangigen Vertretern: Udo Müller,Managing Director, und Georgi Barski, Senior Service Technician. Georgifreute sich besonders auf den Besuch seines Heimatlandes, in dem er seineMuttersprache sprechen konnte.Insgesamt nahmen an dem TCBS-Treffen in Kiew 60 Vertreter von 37 Firmenaus 13 Ländern teil. Folgende Delegierte waren bei dem Treffen vertreten: United Telecom of Georgia, Delta Telecom, Datacom Georgia, KazTransCom,Kazakhtelecom, das Ministry of Telecommunications of Azerbaijan, AzEuro-Tel, Aztelecom, Magyar Telecom, MoldTelecom, Turk Telekom, Novatel Ukrai-ne, Golden Telecom, UMC und weitere.

Als Gründe für das Problem der wachsenden Traffic-Delivery von Europa inden Nahen Osten, dem Kaukasus, nach Zentralasien und China wurden vonallen genannt: – hoher Preis von TAE-Routen, die die Region am Schwarzen Meer durch-

queren– Das unterseeische Kabelsystem ITUR zwischen der Türkei und der Ukraine

(PDH-Technologie) entspricht nicht den modernen Anforderungen

– The BSFOCS cable system Varna-Odessa-Novorossiysk is blocked by themonopoly price of the Novorossiysk-Poti segment;

– The absence of a direct submarine connection between Azerbaijan andKazakhstan.

That is why the parties agreed on the establishment of a certain union ofoperators (the consortium), which will settle the problems of linking TAEsegments by means of construction of the Trans Caspian/Black Sea fibre-optic cable system. One of the first steps will be the evaluation study, whichwill be carried out by the selected consultancy company. In the case of posi-tive results from the evaluation study, the operators will negotiate the formand conditions of participation in the consortium and future cable systemconstruction.

Ein ersterSchritt ist die Bewertungsuntersuchung, die von der ausgewählten Bera-tungsgesellschaft ausgeführt wird. Anschließend, im Falle eines positivenErgebnisses der Bewertungsuntersuchung, werden die Betreiber über die Artund die Bedingungen für eine Beteiligung am Konsortium und beim zukünfti-gen Bau des Kabelsystems verhandeln.

Let’s celebrate!In the evening, the participants were cordially invited to the official dinner,sponsored by ancotel, at the national Ukrainian restaurant “Khata Karasya”(the Crucian’s house), designed as a rich Ukrainian house from the 18th &19th century, to enjoy the cozy and lively atmosphere and a wide choice ofdishes of Ukrainian national cuisine which, taken together, created anunusual festive mood. At the same time, the operators were provided withpleasant surroundings in which to strengthen old contacts and to developnew ones.

Many toasts were proposed: to fruitful work and belief in realisation of thejoint project. There were also lyrical songs performed by the Ukrainian folkconsort named after P.P. Virskiy, and some unforgettable dances were dan-ced – and here it is worth mentioning a Ukrainian version of a passionatetango “Bez sala muchus” (which translates as “Suffer without lard” andoriginally called “Besa me mucho”) skilfully performed by Jamila Zardykhanfrom KazakhTelecom and ancotel’s Managing Director Udo Müller.

Outside the “Khata” the guests could enjoy friendly discussions and originalUkrainian spirit filled with delicate scent of summer blossom and the gentlemurmur of a watermill.

Let’s celebrate!Am Abend wurden die Teilnehmer herzlich zum offiziellen Abendessen einge-laden, das von ancotel im nationalen ukrainischen Restaurant „Khata Karasya“(das Karauschenhaus) – im Stil eines herrschaftlichen ukrainischen Hausesdes 18.-19. Jahrhunderts gestaltet – gesponsert wurde, um die gemütlicheund lebhafte Atmosphäre bei einer großen Auswahl ukrainischer Nationalge-richte zu genießen, was zusammengenommen eine außergewöhnlich festlicheStimmung erzeugte. Gleichzeitig war es für die Teilnehmer eine gute Gele-genheit, alte Kontakte aufzufrischen und neue zu knüpfen.

Viele Trinksprüche auf eine erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit und den Glaubenan die Realisierung des gemeinsamen Projekts wurden ausgesprochen. Vielelyrische Lieder wurden von der nach P. P. Virskiy benannten ukrainischenVolksmusikgruppe vorgetragen und einige unvergessliche Tänze wurdengetanzt. An dieser Stelle muss auch die ukrainische Version eines feurigenTangos, „Bez sala muchus“ (klingt wie „Leiden ohne Schmalz“ und hießursprünglich „Besa me mucho“), erwähnt werden, die von Jamila Zardykhanvon KazakhTelecom und dem Managing Director von ancotel, Udo Müller,gekonnt dargeboten wurde.

Vor dem „Khata“ konnten die Gäste angenehme Diskussionen führen undden original ukrainischen Geist beim zarten Duft von Sommerblüten undbeim sanften Rauschen der Wassermühle genießen.

Summary about the constructionof the Siyazan-Aktau TCL line In accordance with the protocol decision of the Intergovernmental Commis-sion for the Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan andthe Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Communications and Informa-tion Technologies (MC&IT) of the Republic of Azerbaijan consequentlyundertakes measures for the construction of the Caspian submarine fibre-optic cable highway between the cities of Siyazan (Azerbaijan) and Aktau(Kazakhstan).With a view to involving more investors in the project for more efficientutilisation of Azerbaijan’s transit-technical facilities via this highway, as wellas for determination of requirements to the telecommunication services ofthe countries within the Asia and Europe regions, a series of discussionswere held and proposals were studied in the city of Baku. Furthermore,discussions were held in Kiev with the participation of all member telecomadministrations of the Trans-Asia-Europe (TAE) system.The initial decision envisages studying the prospective requirements andthe submission of relevant proposals on the proposed use of this highwayby member organisations, regarding the implementation of the project.In addition, according to the “Protocol about Cooperation” signed betweenthe Information and Communication Agency of Kazakhstan and MC&IT, theInternational Relations and Accounting Centre (IR&AC) was defined as theresponsible body in Azerbaijan and, simultaneously “KazTransCom” wasdefined as the responsible body in Kazakhstan.

The next meeting of this group of operators will take place during the ONAT

conference in Odessa (21.08.07–23.08.07).

Außerdem nahmen in Kiew alle Mitglieder der Telekommunikationsbe-hörden des Trans-Asia-Europe-(TAE-)Systems teil. Die erste Entscheidung sieht vor, die voraussichtlichen Anforderungen zuanalysieren und relevante Vorschläge zur Nutzung dieser Vielfachleitungdurch Mitgliedsorganisationen im Hinblick auf die Umsetzung dieses Projektszu unterbreiten. Thomas Dreischhoff (T.D.): I’ve been working for Deutsche Telekom invarious positions and countries since 1992. Before that I was a sales managerwith BT in London and also did some telemarketing in Bristol.

Dmitriy Rudometkin (D.R.): After four and a half years in military service Iretired with a Captain’s rank in 2000. I spent the next two years as an inter-preter in the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Since 2002, I’vebeen doing business for DTAG Moscow, starting as CRM, and consequentlyas Regional Sales Manager and Deputy Head as of today.

goodnews: As a member of staff in the Regional Office Eastern Europe &CIS department, which customers and areas do you look after? And whatspecifically are your personal tasks?

T.D.: We look after Russia and most countries of the CIS, but we also havecustomers in countries like Turkey and Romania. Our customers segment isInternational Carriers. I’m in charge of managing the ICSS Department inMoscow.

D.R.: Altogether, more than 20 countries and dozens of partners and custo-mers are managed by the Regional Office. My personal challenge is to makesure each and every one of them feels comfortable with the non-voice pro-ducts and services of DTAG (IP-Transit, IPVPN Layer 2 and 3, Signalling forInt’l Roaming, Global Roaming eXchange, Multimedia Message eXchange,SMS Hubbing, Wi-Fi Roaming, etc.) as well as to drive the new businessdevelopment which seems to be the most exciting area.

Thomas Dreischhoff (T. D.): Ich arbeite seit 1992 in verschiedenen Positionenund Ländern für die Deutsche Telekom AG. Davor war ich Sales Manager beiBT in London und habe auch etwas Telemarketing in Bristol betrieben.

Dmitriy Rudometkin (D. R.): Nach viereinhalb Jahren Militärdienst bin ich imJahr 2000 mit dem Rang eines „captain’s rank” ausgeschieden. T. D.: Wir kümmern uns um Russland und die meisten Länder der GUS, aberwir haben auch Kunden in Ländern wie der Türkei oder Rumänien. Zuunserm Kundensegment gehören die internationalen Carrier. Ich leite dieAbteilung ICSS in Moskau.

D. R.: Insgesamt werden über 20 Länder und Dutzende von Partnern undKunden vom Regionalbüro betreut. Es ist eine Herausforderung für uns,sicherzustellen, dass jeder von ihnen mit den Non-Voice-Produkten und Ser-vices der DTAG zufrieden ist (IP-Transit, IPVPN Layer 2 und 3, Signalling fürInt’l Roaming, Global Roaming eXchange, Multimedia Message eXchange,SMS-Hubbing, Wi-Fi-Roaming etc.), und die Entwicklung des Neugeschäftsvoranzutreiben, was die aufregendste tägliche Arbeit ist.

goodnews: How big is your office in Moscow and how many employees arebased there?

T.D.: In Moscow we are part of the T-Systems CIS organisation. Our ICSSDepartment currently has four employees.

goodnews: Is there a Deutsche Telekom AG POP in Russia and if so, whereis it?

T.D.: T-Systems CIS has an IP POP in Moscow since the beginning of thisyear, through which ICSS can connect customers locally. The POP is locatedin the Telehouse of WideXS on the “8th of March street” in Moscow.

D.R.: The POP is well equipped with a full range of FE and GE interfaces,supporting different IP rate limits from 20 Mbps up to a full Gig. Additionalinterfaces are also available upon request. Start-up services to be offered inMoscow POP are IP-Transit and IPVPN Layer 2.

goodnews: Do carriers or ISPs contact you about voice or data solutions, ordo your potential customers also contact you with questions about VoIP andInternet solutions?

T.D.: We offer the full range of Carrier’s Carrier solutions including solutionsfor VoIP and Internet.

goodnews: As a branch in Moscow, what is your connection with DeutscheTelekom AG?

T.D.: ICSS is part of the T-Com organisation and is headquartered in Bonn,Germany.

goodnews: ancotel already considers the co-operation with you since 2005to be a partnership, as it has enabled us to connect a number of customersfrom Eastern Europe and particularly Russia to the network hub in Frankfurtam Main. You have successfully connected us, for example, with Datagrupa.lv.

goodnews: Wie groß ist eigentlich Ihr Office in Moskau und wie viele Mitar-beiter sitzen dort?

D. R.: Der POP ist mit einem Komplettsortiment von FE- und GE-Verbindungenausgestattet, die verschiedene IP-Rate-Limits von 20 Mbps bis zu einem Gigunterstützen. D.R.: Carrier neutrality supplemented by Russian-speaking sales and techni-cal experts is an obvious distinguishing feature of ancotel, placing it aheadof the CEE carrier community. D.R.: Though our regional customer base still tends to use ancotel mostly in Frankfurt, and sporadically in London, some of them are lookingtowards the booming Asian markets as well.

goodnews: Mr Dreischhoff, you recently moved to Moscow. How have yousettled in?

T.D.: My family and I have settled in well, although every move, especiallyinternational ones, brings a lot of administrative issues, some of them weare still battling with. I have lived and worked in Moscow before, so for methe adaptation is not so difficult. My family is Russian-speaking, making italso easier for them.

After the opportunity had been allowed for the almost one thousand cbx

attendees to discuss their innovations and the products on the market at thetables of telx customers and partners, prizes were awarded at 3.00, with allsponsors of the cbx this year being presented with thank you gifts. At the “after-cbx-party” in a nearby pub, attendees had the opportunity todeepen their discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, MichaelBöhlert had to fly back to Frankfurt am Main the same evening for otherappointments.

Hunter Newby, Chief Strategy Officer von telx, hielt eine der Eröffnungsreden,in der er unter anderem auf die Vergrößerung des Unternehmens telx einging.telx ist seit einigen Monaten an 13 Standorten in Amerika mit ihren Meet MeAreas (MMAs) vertreten.

Nachdem die fast tausend Teilnehmer der cbx die Möglichkeit hatten, sich anden Tischen der telx-Kunden und -Partner ausgiebig über deren Neuigkeitenund Produkte am Markt zu unterhalten, gab es um 15 Uhr eine Preisverleihung,bei der alle Sponsoren der diesjährigen cbx als Dankeschön Geschenke über-reicht bekamen. Bei der „After-cbx-Party“ in einem nahe gelegenen Pub hatten die Teilnehmerdie Gelegenheit, in angenehmer Atmosphäre ihre Gespräche zu vertiefen.Michael Böhlert musste leider noch am Abend desselben Tages zurück nachFrankfurt am Main fliegen um weitere anstehende Termine wahrzunehmen.

ancotel at Capacity CEE in PragueThis year too, ancotel attended Capacity CEE in Prague. The event was heldon 18 and 19 June. Director Business Development Michael Böhlert andEastern Europe Area Manager Lydia Schröder used the event to hold nume-rous discussions with the specialist public that was present. Here, they alsopresented the new ancotel products, for example such as the virtual E0cross-connect multiplexer, about which you can find out more in this issueof goodnews online.Furthermore, they visited the new business centre of Telefonica O2 in Prague,of which even the size and architecture were very impressive. At this point,we would like to thank Telefonica O2 as well as Intelia and Dial Telecom(former Net4Net) for their hospitality and the interesting discussions.As usual, the ancotel staff were the last to leave Capacity CEE – making useof the event right up to the last minute. We are already looking forward tothe next Capacity event!

Go – Carmen – Go!43-year-old Carmen Kobella has been working on the welcome desk in theorganisation team at ancotel since 11 June. As a trained office executive,she has previously worked at the reception of Hypo Vereinsbank in Frankfurt,as a sales assistant, and for many years in the personnel department ofDeutsche Bank. From now on, she will be supporting ancotel in the ad-ministrative field and welcoming visitors to ancotel.As you have already seen from the JPMorgan Chase race report, Carmen isan avid runner. She is namely one of the best three members of staff fromancotel and will certainly be giving it her all again in the JPMorgan Chaserace in 2008! In her free time, sporting enthusiast Carmen does a lot with her husbandand their 14-year-old son, who is a competitive swimmer and whom theyoften accompany and support at his competitions throughout Germany. Jens Remsberger makes history35-year-old Jens Remsberger from Alzenau has been a Junior Controller inthe Finance team at ancotel since 1 July. Here, he looks after cost centreaccounting and budgeting – which means that he has the complete perspec-tive of the profitability of ancotel. Jens knows how to handle figures, havingworked for a tax consultant after his training as a tax specialist and havingbeen a Financial Accountant and Controller in his previous position.However, it is not only with figures that he is good; he also speaks threeforeign languages (English, Spanish and French) and regularly attends lan-guage courses to improve his fluency. In addition, he is a history enthusiast,and took history as an advanced course at upper school. He collects history

Go, Carmen, go!Die 43-jährige Carmen Kobella arbeitet seit dem 11. Juni am Welcome Deskim Team Organization bei ancotel. Die gelernte Bürokauffrau arbeitete bereitsbei der HypoVereinsbank in Frankfurt am Empfang, als Vertriebsassistentinund lange Jahre in der Personalabteilung der Deutschen Bank.
