Dear Parents,

St David’s DayPlease join us in celebrating St David’s Day on Thursday March 1st, by dressing up in Welsh costume or Welsh T-shirts/jumpers/rugby shirts.

Nursery to Y2 pupils will be making Welsh cakes, dancing and singing at school. All Y3 to Y6 pupils will perform a medley of Welsh songs in Killay precinct from 10.30 am, all

spectators are welcome. The orchestra will play, so please meet us at Killay Precinct.

Hendrefoilan Book DayWe are celebrating our love of books on Wednesday 7 th March. This will be called ‘Hendrefoilan Book Day’. Staff and pupils can dress up as their favourite character from their favourite book.

We have arranged a Book Fayre from Friday 23 rd – Thursday 29th March. This will be held every day from 3.20 pm outside the Head teacher’s office.

National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) Fundraising The NSPCC work very hard to support children. The school relies on their support and has previously worked with NSPCC staff hosting assemblies and workshops. We are hosting a sponsored event to raise money for the NSPCC. This will be a ‘Danceathon’, led by Y6 girls in workshop sessions, on Thursday 15th March. The School Council will send the ‘Danceathon’ sponsorship forms home on Thursday 8th March.

Sport’s Relief DaySports’ Relief Day is on Wednesday 21st March. We are aiming to promote health and fitness and raise money for Sport’s Relief. The aim in to run/power walk as many laps of the top yard as possible, with the ultimate goal being to run 5 kilometres, which is 20 laps. Please bring a £1 voluntary contribution and wear sports clothes.

(There is no pressure to reach the 5 k target, as this is a fun event for everyone to enjoy getting fit in the sunshine (hopefully!)).

Easter Egg HuntOur Key Stage 2 Easter Egg hunt takes place on Monday 26 th March. The Foundation Phase Easter Egg hunt takes place on Wednesday 28th March
