Young Investigator Award Within the abstract submission all authors have the chance to apply for the Young Investigator Award sponsored by Siemens Healthcare. The most outstanding abstracts will be presented at the Young Investigator Forum and judged by a jury of experts.

Poster Awards Three outstanding posters will receive awards sponsored by Varian and Elekta.

Guten Tag, bonjour, buongiorno, Grüezi, dear Colleagues,

It’s a pleasure for me to invite you to the university town of Zurich for the Joint Conference in Medical Physics. The conference is jointly organized by the Swiss Society of Radiation Biology and Medical Physics (SSRMP), the German (DGMP) and the Austrian (ÖGMP) Society for Medical Physics.We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the SSRMP in Swit-zerland this year. The society was actually founded by radiation biologists. Due to this occasion radiation biology will be one of the important topics of the meeting. Beyond this the program will be composed of the newest developments and results in research as well as developments and clinical implementation.For the single topics we are going to continue the successful practice of combining introductory lectures with scientific short presentations. Furthermore, we will create a platform for an ex-change between the three societies and their members as it was done in Vienna in 2011 in order to promote the formation or renewal of interdisciplinary and international connections. The young academics deserve our special attention: several program items are dedicated to this group.For a high-profile event we are now dependent on your contri-bution! We are hoping for a large number of submitted scientific contributions that reflect the important work undertaken in the various research institutions and clinics. Let others share in your knowledge and experience! Fascinate us through your innovation and methodology. Submit your abstracts online by 31st March, 2014. I would like to inspire you for this joint meeting not only with scientific findings and the possibility of expanding and sharing of networks.
