Die ISM Newcomer Area in der Halle 11.1 ist die Anlaufstelle, um die „Newcomer“, also ISM-Neulinge, zu sehen. Hier präsentieren zwölf Unternehmen aus 10 Ländern ein breites Angebot an Schokolade, Zuckerwaren, Feinen Backwaren und Snacks.

The ISM Newcomer Area is a special location, where visitors can see the "Newcomers“ - in other words, those which are new at ISM. Here, twelve companies from 10 countries present a wide range of chocolate, candies, fine baked goods and snacks.

Der New Product Showcase hat sich als attraktiver Anziehungspunkt für alle Entscheider etabliert. In einer hochwertigen Sonderausstellung können Sie sich gezielt über Neuheiten der Süßwaren- und Snackbranche informieren. In mehr als 130 Vitrinen präsentieren die Aussteller der ISM Produkte, die nach der ISM 2017 entstanden sind. QR-Codes ermöglichen Ihnen den direkten Zugriff auf die jeweiligen Produktinformationen. Wie schon im Jahr zuvor können sich alle Besucher der ISM an der Abstimmung über die drei innovativsten Produkte der ISM 2018 beteiligen. Zudem wird unter dem Namen „ISM Packaging Award powered by ProSweets Cologne" ein Preis für innovative Verpackungen vergeben.

The New Product Showcase has established itself as a main attraction for all decision-makers. In a high-quality special event, visitors can get specific information about novelties of the confectionery and snacks industry. In more than 130 showcases the exhibitors of ISM will present products that have emerged after ISM 2017. QR codes allow a direct access to the relevant product information. As in the previous year, all visitors of ISM have the possibility to participate in the vote on the three most innovative products of ISM 2018. In addition, the most innovative packaging will be awarded the "ISM Packaging Award powered by ProSweets Cologne".

Der junge „New Snacks“-Bereich der ISM hat seinen festen Platz in der Halle 5.2. Rund um eine Smoothie-Bar präsentieren 35 Firmen aus 16 Ländern Produkte wie Protein- und Energieriegel, Beef Jerky, Fischchips, Frucht- und Gemüsesnacks, Rohkostriegel, Cerealien- und Haferriegel, Brotaufstriche, veganes Speiseeis und Bio-Eiscreme, Snacks aus Rohkakao, biologische, glutenfreie und laktosefreie Schokoladensnacks.

The young “New Snacks” Area is located in hall 5.2. Grouped around a smoothie bar, 35 companies from 16 countries present products such as protein and energy bars, beef jerky, fish crisps, fruit and vegetable snacks, raw fruit and vegetable bars, cereal bars and oatmeal bars, spreads, vegan ice cream and organic ice cream, raw cocoa snacks, organic, gluten-free and lactose-free chocolate snacks.

Am Mittwoch der ISM erwartet Sie der Trend- und Thementag mit einem speziellen Event- und Kongressprogramm.

On the ISM Wednesday offers the Trend and Theme Day a special event and congress programme.

Kaffee, Tee und Kakao sind seit 2015 fester Bestandteil des Messe-Konzepts. Bei der ISM nehmen die köstlichen Heißgetränke mit dem Cologne Coffee Forum in der Halle 5.2 einen eigenen Bereich ein. Besucher haben hier die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Spezialitäten zu verkosten und zu ordern. Hier präsentieren sich Anbieter von italienischem Espresso, Spezialitätenröstereien der Deutschen Röstergilde, Anbieter von Instant-Kaffee, Kaffee-Kapseln sowie Tee- und Kakao-spezialitäten. Das tägliche Eventprogramm reicht von sensorischen Schulungen bis zu praxisorientierten Workshops. Am Sonntag und Mittwoch haben Sie die Möglichkeit, anregende Begegnungen zwischen Kaffee und Süßem im Handel, in der Gastronomie und Bäckereien zu erleben. Best-Practice-Augenblicke inspirieren, wie Ihr Auftritt vor Kunden und Gästen noch lebendiger inszeniert und Ihr Umsatz somit gesteigert werden kann!

Coffee, tea and cocoa have been an integral part of the trade fair concept since 2015. The delicious hot drinks have been awarded with their own section, the Cologne Coffee Forum, in Hall 5.2. The visitors have here the opportunity to sample and order various specialities. Suppliers of Italian espresso, speciality roasters from the German Roasting Guild, suppliers of instant coffee, coffee capsules as well as tea and cocoa specialities will be exhibiting here. The daily event programme ranges from sensory training through to practice-oriented workshops. On Sunday and Wednesday, you have the opportunity to experience stimulating encounters between coffee and sweets in gastronomy and bakeries. Best Practice Moments will inspire you how your performance in front of the customers and guests can be staged even more and enhance sales!

For trade visitors only The professional character of ISM is one of the main reasons for the success of this event. Proof of qualification as a trade visitor must be provided when entering ISM. Children under 12 years of age will not be admitted to the fair. A day care centre is available for children in this age group. Children above 12 years of age require a valid admission ticket and must be accompanied by an adult. Babies 12 months old or younger may be carried. Please note: Prams are not permitted!

Nach der erfolgreichen Premiere auf der ISM 2017 wird auch in 2018 wieder an einem zentralen Standort auf dem Mittelboulevard der Halal Infopoint stattfinden. Global tätige Händler und Hersteller von Halal-Süßwaren und -Snacks haben hier die Möglichkeit, ihre Produkte übersichtlich an einem zentralen Ort zu präsentieren.

Halal ist ein zukunftsweisender Trend im deutschen und europäischen Lebensmitteleinzel-handel. Die Vielfalt der Halal-Produkte und ihre Vermarktung gewinnt jedes Jahr an Bedeu-tung. Ein gut sortiertes Angebot an Spezialitäten aus dem Halal-Süßwarensegment ist eine Attraktion, die zusätzliche Kunden in den Handel lockt.

After the successful premiere at the ISM 2017, again in 2018 the Halal Infopoint will take place in a central location at the Middle Boulevard of ISM. Globally-operating dealers and manufacturers of Halal sweets and snacks have the opportunity to present their products in this well arranged special event.

The diversity of Halal products is a forward-looking trend on the German and European food retail market. The diversity and marketing of Halal positioned products gain in significance every year. A well-assorted offer of specialities from the Halal sweets segment is an attrac-tion, which draws additional customers into the shops.

The Halal Infopoint is an exclusive business platform, organised by Food INT - International Transfer & Services.

Im Rahmen der ISM findet erstmals eine gemeinsame Diskussionsveranstaltung des Forum Nachhaltiger Kakao und der World Cocoa Foundation statt mit dem Thema „Zertifizierung und mehr – Auf dem Weg zu einem nachhaltigen Kakaosektor".

Auf das Podium eingeladen sind internationale Experten, die mit Vorträgen und Beispielen aus der Praxis zu diesem Thema diskutieren. Lucas Simons von NewForesight moderiert die Veranstaltung.

The German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa (GISCO) and the World Cocoa Foundation are co-organizing their first joint event at ISM on the theme “Certification and More: Achieving Impact in Cocoa Sustainability”.

The event will assemble experts from the chocolate and cocoa sector who will share their insights about the event’s theme. NewForesight’s Lucas Simons has agreed to emcee the event.
