planning and technical general services, has a very high qualified

professional staff and is capable to cover with its services a very wide

range of activities sectors (architecture, interior design, materials

engineering, general technological systems, environment, project

sta nd ardiza tion, da ta p roc essing systems, supp lies, etc .).

STUDIO ARTEA S.R.L. was esta b lished in 1990 and , throughout years of

experience, has extended its solid capabilities in planning, in works

management, in studies and researches not only into the civil works

sector but also in the most recent fields of environment, energy,

rec ove ring and resto ra tion of cultural pa trimo ny, resources p lanningand managem ent.

ENGINEERING

Francesco Bianchi (born in Roma, December 13, 1941) graduated in

Architec ture a t the University o f Rom e in 1968. Then, he ob ta ined a

spec ializa tion in Territo ria l Planning (FORMEZ-Nap les) in 1970.

Professor Bianchi has a twenty-eight-year-old teaching experience

a tta ined a t the University o f Rom e La Sapienza (1978-1992) and

University o f Rome Tre (from 1992). He is an expe rt in va rious d ifferent

fields with p rimary em phasis on the follow ing:

Engineering/illumination engineering, Acoustics and Air

conditioning"

The rea lizat ion of this p rojec t is nec essary to eliminate the p rob lem o f wa stewa ters ente ring the Tronto River, which d oesn t ha ve a purifica tion system ,

and are consequently causing a pollution of the superficial waters and also

of the thermal water of Karst-formation underneath, which are very

imp ortant for the therma l ba ths.

After an analysis of the territory and of the existing systems, a study was

carried out about the possibility to assemble all the wastewater treatment

systems of the little towns, which didnt have a water purification system, in

such a wa y to make this op eration ec onom ically profitable.

Different standard types of purification systems were analyzed, to find the

mo st suitable to the a bo ve said loc ation.

PROJET CHARACTERISTICS

LOCATIONThe projec t c onsists in the enlargem ent of Corba ia sewage

treatment in such a way to be able to purify the sanitary waters of

9.000 inhabitants.

TARGET The p roject has the ta rge t to imp rove the w astewate r trea tment

system , either from the p oint of view o f the q uant ity or of the q uality,

and in the sam e time to imp rove the service in ac c ordanc e w ith the

latest Italian laws, through also the enlargement of the structures

presently in use.


SERVICESDESCRIPTION After a preliminary study of the site, a report was written about thestate of the wastewater purifying system, pointing out the targets to

be achieved with the new works and the changes to be make,

making a very detailed description of them, together with the

c a lc ula tion of d imensions and ob ta inab le results.

The projec t wa s c ompleted with a m etric al com puta tion and projec t

plans.

CHARACTERISTICS It was also provided the executive project for the building of the new

wa stewa ter trea tment fa c ility.
