Introduction

SurveyWinlog.pharm is a reporting andevaluation software. It meets the strictrequirements of pharmaceuticalvalidation, qualification and measuringtasks. The software has a programmesurface which is easy to operate andoffers numerous possibilities ofgenerating meaningful reports.

System requirementsSo that the software can be operated onyour computer without any problems,your computer has to fulfil the followingrequirements.

Software installieren

Winlog.pharm hat ein eigenes Installati-onsprogramm, den Setup-Assistenten,der Sie in mehreren Schritten durch dieInstallation der Software führt. Die In-stallation der Software ist daher ganzeinfach:

Die einzelnen Installationsschritte wer-den nachfolgend kurz beschrieben.

Bei Problemen gibt Ihnen der Set-up-Assistent entsprechende Hin-weise mit Lösungsvorschlägen.Beachten Sie daher in jedem Falldie Meldungen des Setup-Assi-stenten am Bildschirm!

Installation of Software

Winlog.pharm has its own installationprogramme, the setup assistant, whichguides you in several steps through theinstallation of the software.Therefore the installation of the softwareis very easy:

- put in CD-ROM

- start Setup-Assistant

- give user group

- choose installation index

- start installation

In the following the separate installationsteps are briefly described.

In the case of problems the setupassistant gives you correspondinghints with suggestion solutions.Therefore in every case observe themessages of the setup assistanton the monitor!

After the installation of the software youjust have to connect the interface (write-reading device) (see page 16).

Setup-Assistenten startenWenn an Ihrem Rechner die Autostart-Funktion eingeschaltet ist, dann startetder Setup-Assistent nach wenigen Au-genblicken selbsttätig.

Wenn an Ihrem Rechner die Autostart-Funktion ausgeschaltet ist, müssen Sieden Setup-Assistenten von Hand star-ten.

u In diesem Fall wählen Sie aus derWindows-Taskleiste "Start: Ausfüh-ren".

uGeben Sie nun das Laufwerk an, inwelchem sich die CD-ROM befindet(z. B. "D:") und schreiben Sie direktdahinter "\setup.exe“.

Putting in CD-ROMuPut the CD-ROM into the respective

drive of your computer.

Starting Setup-AssistentIf the autostart function is switched onon your computer, the setup assistentwill start automatically after a fewmoments.

If the autostart function is switched offon your computer, you have to start thesetup assistent manually.

u In this case select „Start: Execute „.from the Windows tool bar

uNow indicate the drive where the CD-ROM is (e.g. „D:“) and directly writeafter it „\setup.exe“.

In case it is necessary, you cancancel the installation any time.For this click on the button„Cancel“ and confirm the query ofthe setup assistent with „Yes“.

u In order to continue with theinstallation, click on the button „Next“.

If everything has functioned withoutproblems, then after some time the setupassistent will give the message, that thesoftware was successfully installed andthe installation is now completed.

AllgemeinesDie Software „Winlog.pharm“ erstellt Va-lidierungspläne und wertet Validierungenaus. Hilfsmittel dazu sind Datenlogger,die von der Software programmiert undnach der Validierung von der Softwareausgelesen werden.

Zum Programmieren und zum Auslesender Datenlogger werden Schreib-/Lese-geräte (Interfaces) benötigt. Diese wer-den über den USB (Universal Serial Bus)mit dem Rechner verbunden. Dies kannauch während des Rechnerbetriebs ge-schehen, ohne dass der Rechnerbetriebdadurch gestört wird.

Das Betriebssystem erkennt automa-tisch, ob Änderungen am Universal Se-rial Bus (USB) vorliegen und gibt ent-sprechende Meldungen am Bildschirmaus.

Connection of Interface(Write-/reading device)

GeneralThe software „Winlog.pharm“ createsvalidation plans and evaluatesvalidations. Data loggers are aids forthis, which are programmed by thesoftware and after validation are selectedfrom the softare.

Write-/reading devices (Interfaces) areneeded for programming and to selectthe data loggers. These are connectedover the USB (Universal Serial Bus) withthe computer. This can also happenduring the operation of the computerwithout the computer operation beingdisturbed because of this.

The operating system automaticallyrecognises whether there aremodifications to the Universal Serial Bus(USB) and gives respective messages onthe monitor.

uVergewissern Sie sich, dass sich dieInstallations-CD im Rechner-Lauf-werk befindet. Dort sind Steuerpro-gramme (sogenannte „Treiber“) ent-halten, die für den Betrieb der Inter-faces benötigt werden.

uFalls Sie ein Achtfach-Interface ver-wenden, schließen Sie dieses überdas mitgelieferte Netzadapter an dieStromversorgung an und schalten Siees ein (Schalter leuchtet).

uVerbinden Sie das Interface mit Hilfedes mitgelieferten USB-Kabels mitdem Rechner.

Das Betriebssystem erkennt automa-tisch, ob Änderungen am USB vorliegenund gibt entsprechende Meldungen amBildschirm aus.

Das Betriebssystem behandeltdas Achtfach-Interface wie achteinzelne Geräte. Die Meldung„Neue Hardware gefunden“ er-scheint daher beim Achtfach-In-terface 16 Mal hintereinander.

Kurz nach der Meldung „Neue Hardwaregefunden“ erscheint auf dem Bildschirmautomatisch der „Assistent für das Su-chen neuer Hardware“.

Connecting Interface tocomputerWrite-/reading devices (Interfaces) areconnected with the computer over theUSB (Universal Serial Bus). In order toconnect your interface with thecomputer, proceed as follows:

uEnsure that the installation CD is inthe computer drive. This containscontrol programmes (so called„drivers“) which are necessary for theoperation of the interfaces.

u In case you are using an eightfoldinterface, connect this over theincluded net adapter to the powersupply and switch it on (switch lightsup).

uConnect the interface with the help ofthe included USB cable to thecomputer.

The operating system automaticallyrecognises whether there aremodifications to the USB and givescorresponding messages on the monitorscreen.

The operating system treats theeightfold interface like eightseparate hardware devices. Themessage „New hardware found“therefore appears 16 timessubsequently for the eightfoldinterface.

Shortly after the message „Newhardware found“ the „Assistant forsearching for new hardware“ appears onthe monitor screen automatically.

Relier des périphériquesà l‘ ordinateurLes périphériques d’écriture ou de lecturesont reliés à l’ordinateur via l’USB(Universal Serial Bus). Pour relier despériphériques à l’ordinateur, procédezcomme suit :

uAssurez-vous que le CD d’installationse trouve dans le lecteur correspondantde l’ordinateur. Ce CD contient des pro-grammes de commande (que l’on ap-pelle „pilotes“) et qui sont indispensab-les pour le bon fonctionnement des in-terfaces.

uSi vous utilisez un périphérique octup-le, branchez ce dernier sur le secteurpar le biais de l’adaptateur fourni etmettez-le sous-tension (le témoin del’interrupteur s’allume).

uReliez le périphérique à l’ordinateur viale câble USB.

Le système d’exploitation reconnaîtautomatiquement si des changements deconnexions ont été effectués sur UniversalSerial Bus (USB) et affiche les messagescorrespondants à l’écran.

Le système d’exploitation traite lepériphérique octuple comme huitunités différentes. Ainsi, le message„Nouveau matériel détecté“ apparaîtavec le périphérique octuple 16 foisl’un derrière l’autre.

Peu après le message „Nouveau matérieldétecté“ apparaît automatiquement surl’écran de l’“Assistant de recherche denouveau matériel“.

u Ignore the message „Hardwareinstallation“ (see left) and click on„Continue Installation „.

Now the „Assistant for searching for newhardware“ installs the driver.

u If the installation has been successful,click on „Complete „.

In case you have connected theeightfold interface, the procedure„New hardware found“ runs throughanother 15 times up to „Complete „.

To solve installation problemsIn case it should come to problems inthe installation of the drivers, the adja-cent message appears.

In this case advance in the followingmanner:

uSelect Start Preferences Controlpanel Administration Computeradministration

ÜberblickNach dem Doppelklick auf das Pro-grammsymbol öffnet sich das Pro-grammhauptfenster. Dieses hat zweiHauptbereiche: den Bereich für die Ak-tionsauswahl (Navigator) und den Ar-beitsbereich.

Die Abläufe des Programms sind in dreiBereiche unterteilt: „Validierungen“, „Ein-stellungen“ und „Berichte“.

Im Bereich „Validierungen“ lassensich Validierungspläne erstellen, Pro-zessdaten gemäß eines Validierungsab-laufs auswerten oder Validierungsproto-kolle zum Anschauen öffnen.

Der Bereich „Einstellungen“ bietetEingabemöglichkeiten für

- allgemeine Angaben (z. B. Verzeich-nis für die zugrundeliegende Daten-bank, vorhandene Interfaces[Schreib-/Lesegeräte] für die Daten-logger oder zu verwendende physika-lische Einheiten),

- die Sicherheit (z. B. Passwörter, Be-nachrichtigungs-E-Mail-Adressenoder elektronische Unterschrift),

- die Benutzerverwaltung (wer darf dasProgramm benutzen und mit welchenRechten?) sowie

SurveyAfter the double click on the programmesymbol, the programme main window willopen. This has two main areas: the areafor the function selection (Navigator) andthe working space.

The procedures ot the programmes aresubdivided into three areas: „Validations„, „Preferences „ and „Reports „.

In the area „Validations“ validationplans can be drawn up, process datacan be evaluated according to avalidation procedure or validation reportscan be opened to be looked at.

The area „Preferences“ offers entrypossibilities for

- general information (e. g. index for thesource database, existant interfaces[write-/reading devices] for the dataloggers or physical units to be used),

- the security (e. g. password,notification email addresses orelectronical signature),

- the user administration (who may usethe programme and with which rights?)as well as

- the hardware devices used (e. g. typeof devices, manufacturer, hardwaredevices programme).

Premiers pas avec„Winlog.pharm“

AperçuAprès un double-clique sur le symbole deprogramme, la fenêtre de principale duprogramme s’ouvre. Elle comporte deuxzones principales, la zone de sélection del’action (navigateur) et la zone de travail.

Each validation only lets itself beevaluated once. A validation report ismade from the validation plan by theevaluation. This is avalilable any timeafter the evaluation and can be lookedinto.

The programme guides you in threesubsequent masks (steps) through theevaluation.

Das Programm legt alle Daten und An-gaben, die beim Vorbereiten einer Vali-dierung oder bei der Auswertung einerValidierung erzeugt werden, unmittelbarin der zugehörigen Datenbank ab. BeimAufrufen eines Validierungsplans odereines Validierungsberichtes liest dasProgramm die benötigten Daten aus derDatenbank aus und füllt sie in ein vor-gefertigtes Berichtsformular ein.

Berichte von bereits ausgewerteten Va-lidierungen sind in der zum Programmgehörenden Datenbank manipulations-sicher gespeichert. Sie können jederzeiteingesehen werden. Dabei werden dieDaten nicht geändert.

Sie können den Bericht direkt ausdruk-ken oder z. B. in das Portable DocumentFormat (PDF) exportieren.
