In the middle of nowhere,in the back of beyond
People can say “Ich wohne, wo sich Fuchs und Hase gute Nacht sagen” when they live in the middle of nowhere. Literally it would be something like this:

Der Hase – the hare
Gute Nacht sagen – say good night
And once they said good night, they went to sleep
Gute Nacht!
