1 Preparation
The following data should be prepared before starting either of the onboarding processes (DCS/DCS+),
to ensure everything runs smoothly. The CP-ID/Key can only be found once the onboarding process has
been started (see chapter 2.2/3.2).
➢ Connection Point Name (EON name)
➢ Network Address (Network address for your EON)
➢ Gateway IP Address (IP for the virtual gateway connected to the EON -> auto-gen rec*)
➢ IP Address Router 1 (auto-gen rec)
➢ IP Address Router 2 (auto-gen rec)
➢ Pool Start IP Address (IP pool for the EON -> auto-gen rec)
➢ Pool End IP Address (IP pool for the EON -> auto-gen rec)
➢ DNS Server 1/2 (optional -> swisscom rec)
➢ DNS Domain (for VM's connected to the EON -> optional)
➢ "Shared" Yes to share the EON in all your Dynamic Data Centers
Connection Point ID/Key (to be used in the BNS dashboard to connect the EON)
ATTENTION:
➔ The desired subnet may not be in use at any other customer location.
➔ The desired subnet must be in the private network range (RFC 1918). If this requirement is
ignored, the packets will not be routed between BNS and DCS.
➔ The connection point cannot be adjusted after it has been created.
*auto-gen rec = auto-generated recommendation from Swisscom

Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd BNS to DCS/DCS+ Connection 3/14
2 DCS Commissioning
The first step for ensuring a successful configuration must take place on the DCS side. Using the data
from Chapter 1, a virtual EON (external organizational network) must be configured, which can be
seen on the DCS and should be connected to the BNS router.
2.1 Cloud Part – DCS Portal
Log in to the enterprise extranet using your personal extranet login.
(extranet.swisscom.ch / datacenter.swisscomcloud.com)
Click on the eService "Dynamic Computing" within the DCS portal. The 2-factor authentication is
started.
In the next step, you select the data center via the DCS portal, which is to be connected to BNS. Click
the network symbol of the respective DDC.

Add a "Connection Point" under "Swisscom Cloud Services Connectivity".
Fill in the fields "Connection Point Name" and "Network Address" on the screen that appears. If
required, the automatically generated details can be adjusted (e.g. Pool IP Range / DNS / Shared).
Now click on "Submit Order".
In a few minutes, you will receive an e-mail confirming the successful creation of the EON. After the
order has been completed successfully, the CP-ID will be visible on the DCS portal under "Swisscom
Cloud Services Connectivity" in the Connectivity area of the respective data center under "Info".
The remaining configuration settings will now be entered via the BNS dashboard.

entered. Inform the customer about the terms and conditions and click the checkbox. Open the
shopping cart and submit the order. The connection should be established within a short period of
