Worshipping God Addoli Duw Bible Study continues on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7pm in the Church Hall

in Dyffryn. Looking at Mark ‘s gospel. All welcome!

CHRISTCHURCH It has been a joy to worship with Christchurch through the summer. From September we will share 2 joint services a month with Christchurch—both at their church. On the first Sunday of the month, our Anglican team will lead the service, and, on the 3rd Sunday, the Presbyterians will lead.

ANNUAL DEDICATION SERVICE OF BARMOUTH LIFEBOAT Sun 28th Aug 3pm at Lifeboat station.

ST MARY’S LLANABER The congregation of St Mary’s have welcomed 2 visiting groups of Christians in recent weeks—the first a group of Anglicans from Coventry, the second a Jesuit group including a number of young novices. Both have written letters of thanks for the church’s hospitality and preparation for their services.

St David’s Barmouth The last summer mid-week Eucharist will be held this Thursday at 11am.

Well done to warden, Jan and company who sold clothes that are unsuitable for the refugees (to raise funds for them) and laid out tables for cream teas in St David’s garden on the har-bour on Friday. £205 was made on the cream teas and £90.60 was made on clothing, but the biggest bonus was that we all met a lot of lovely people!

CONCERT TOMORROW Next concert at St. Tanwg's Harlech

Mon Aug 29th7.30.

Local popular music group, Elastic Band, featuring Kathy and Ian Hampson who regularly sing and play in services in the Bro. Their repertoire stretches over al-

most a century from the 1920s to the present day. What a great way to end the Bank Holiday in a relaxed environment with some familiar and enjoyable songs.

Wine and nibbles will be available. £5 at the door, with concessions for families.

‘BEING A REFUGEE IS PANTS! ’

Sara Roberts writes: ‘Thank you for support you have shown CEFN in the past and please accept our appreciation for any ongoing support you feel able to offer. CEFN Cefnogi Ffoaduriaid/Supporting Refugees (which

covers Meirionydd/Dwyfor) and works with other groups across Wales and the UK to sup-port refugees in various ways has a Cunning New Plan!! This is a simple idea and one we

hope that your various congregations will be able to contribute towards without too much effort or expense…There is an urgent and dire need for new underwear for the refugees

trapped in the Calais Jungle- who now number in the region of 10,000. As you can imagine, the dignity & comfort of clean underwear cannot be over exaggerated. We are hoping to

send new packs of underwear to Calais and are asking those who feel able to, to buy a pack (or more) when doing their regular shopping- you can pick up a multi pack for only a few

££s. We need Men’s Small & Medium, and Women’s Small/Med, in comfortable styles- no thongs, please!’ Please leave at St David’s Barmouth or St Tanwg’s Harlech. Thank you.

The Soldiers', Sailors', and Airmens' Families Association (SSAFA) is seeking voluntary case-workers in the Meirionnydd area. You will need to be computer literate and have transport as you will be visiting people in their homes. This is rewarding work for someone with a little time to spare. Training is given. Please ring Judy Muston on 01341-430642 for further information.
