Bromont
• History
– Bromont was created in 1964, as a model community, out of Brome County, as an ideal resort community.
– Bromont is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada, at
the base of Mount Brome; it is in the Brome-Missisquoi
Regional County Municipality.
– The Bromont area and its resort, Ski Bromont, is well
known as a tourist destination for its downhill skiing,
mountain biking, water slides, golf as well as
equestrian events.
– Bromont also boasts a high tech industrial park, which includes IBM, General Electric, and Dalsa, with an
airport that serves the region.

Business Experience
• S-I-P GmbH performed a Scouting Project on behalf of a world’s leading company in the semiconductor industry
• The goal was to find a MEMS foundry which is capable to build an innovative
and challenging device in ultra clean environment
• Phase 1: Identification of 97 MEMS foundries in the worldwide search
• Phase 2: Evaluation of 29 selected MEMS foundries using “Questionnaire”
and “Quantitative Assessment Scheme”
• Phase 3: On-site visits and evaluation of 5 short listed companies located
in Germany, Singapore, Israel and Canada
• Decision: Teledyne Dalsa in cooperation with C2MI
• Phase 4: Process Transfer and Process Development
• Phase 5: Pilot Production & High Volume Manufacturing
