There are now only a few weeks left before a new era of air travel begins for Berlin with the opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport on 3 June. The new airport terminal building in Berlin-Schönefeld is a product of beautiful, contemporary architecture addition-ally housing spacious shopping and recreational facilities. Seien Sie dabei, wenn die heißesten Shows rund um die Beatles, ABBA und Boney M. im Sommer die Stim-mung im Estrel Festival Center zum Kochen bringen. Denn auch Jahrzehnte nach der Auflösung der Bands ist noch lange kein Ende der kultigen Popmusik in Sicht und die Songs aller drei Musikgruppen haben bis heute nichts von ihrem Unterhaltungswert verlo-ren. Den besten Beweis dafür liefert das Beatles Mu-sical „all you need is love!“, das vom 27. Juni bis 29. Juli im Estrel zu Gast ist. Die Tribute-Show gibt einen Eindruck darüber, wie es gewesen sein muss, die Pilz-köpfe zu erleben – und zwar in den verschiedensten Phasen ihrer Karriere. Der kometenhafte Aufstieg der Beatles wird in kleinen Episoden zwischen 30 Hits, darunter „Please, Please Me“, „P.S. I love you“, „A hard days night“ und „She loves you”, erzählt. Wenn das Quartett ins Scheinwerferlicht tritt, könnte man mei-nen, die echten Beatles seien zurück: Originalgetreue Kostüme und die typischen Pilzkopf-Frisuren machen die Täuschung perfekt. Im August vereint Show-Pro-duzent Bernhard Kurz dann in „A tribute to ABBA & Boney M.“ gleich zwei Kult-Bands auf einer Bühne. Die Party-Show entführt das Publikum in die legen-däre Disko-Ära der 70er-Jahre. Im ersten Act werden ABBA-Hits wie „Waterloo“, „Take a Chance On Me” und „Money, Money, Money” präsentiert – von einer Formation, die den Schweden nicht nur unglaublich ähnlich sieht, sondern auch vom Gesang her per-fekt mit den Vorbildern übereinstimmt. When this foursome step out into the spotlight, you might even think the real Beatles have retur-ned: authentic-looking costumes and characteri-stic mop-top haircuts complete the illusion. This is followed by “A tribute to ABBA & Boney M.” in which show producer Bernhard Kurz joins two cult bands on one stage. The high-energy show transports the audience back to the 70s and the legendary age of disco. The first act features such ABBA hits as “Waterloo”, “Take a Chance On Me” and “Money, Money, Money”, performed by a line-up that succeeds in perfectly capturing both the look and the sound of the Swedish pop idols. Then, in outfits that ring true to the disco era, four first-class performers bring the music of “Boney M.” to life in a vibrant stage spectacle. “Rivers of Babylon”, “Rasputin”, “Ma Baker” and many other of their hits ensure that the party energy is at a constant peak.
