Die Arbeitsgruppe bearbeitet die Gebiete der Photonik, der optischen Technologien sowie der Laser- und Plasmatechnik und Materialographie. Sie steht dabei in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Partnern aus Indus-trie und Wissenschaft, unter anderem dem Leibniz-Institut für innovative Mikroelektro-nik in Frankfurt (Oder), mit dem sie im Rah-men des »Joint Labs« verbunden ist.Im Rahmen eines Projektes wurde zu-sammen mit der Canlas Laser Processing GmbH ein neuartiges Nd:YVO4 MOPA (master oscillator power amplifier) Laser-system als leistungsskalierter, schnell mo-dulierbarer Festkörperlaser mit neuem, effi-zientem Pumpdesign entwickelt. Der Laser ist speziell für die Mikro- und Präzisionsbe-arbeitung entwickelt worden.

The team is in close cooperation with partners from industry and science, inclu-ding the IHP Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder).
