Energien. Was erwartet die Besucher? TOP FAIR ISH

sprach mit Stefan Seitz, Leiter Brandmanagement ISH.

Herr Seitz, was sind die Themen auf der diesjährigen ISH?Die ISH steht für zukunftsweisende Themen wie die Scho-nung der Ressourcen und den Einsatz von erneuerbaren Energien sowie den demographischen Wandel und die dadurch veränderten Bedingungen im Bereich Wasser und Energie.

Im Bereich ISH Water präsentieren sich Aussteller mit nachhaltigen, designorientierten Badlösungen. Top-Thema 2015 ist „Interior + Technology – Design und Funktion im Einklang“, hier geht es unter anderem um den effizienten Umgang mit der Ressource Wasser, um Reinigung und Trinkwasserhygiene, aber auch um Lösungen für individu-elle Benutzerbedürfnisse.

Im Bereich ISH Energy bekommen Besucher das Gesamtspektrum innovativer Gebäudesystemtechnik zu sehen. Im Fokus steht das Top-Thema „Energieeffizienz plus“. Dabei geht es u. a. um die Energiewende im Wärme-markt, hybride Systeme und Technologietrends.

Die Klima-, Kälte- und Lüftungstechnik ist unter dem Namen Aircontec vertreten. Die Industrie präsentiert inno-vative Komponenten- und Systemlösungen, die neben einer hohen Energieeffizienz thermische Behaglichkeit und Innenraumluftqualität sicherstellen. Dabei werden Konzepte für die Sanierung und den Neubau präsentiert.

Intelligente Gebäudeautomations- und Energiemanage-mentsysteme, die Komfort und Energieeffizienz in Ein-klang bringen, stehen im Fokus des Top-Themas „Future Buildings“. Hierzu präsentieren die Aussteller in den Hallen 10.2 und 10.3 ihre Innovationen.

Welche Neuheiten erwarten die Besucher 2015?Aufgrund der gestiegenen Nachfrage für den Bereich Erleb-niswelt Bad wird zusätzlich das Forum in Betrieb genom-men. Zudem wird erstmals zur ISH 2015 ein Partnerland-Konzept eingeführt. Als erstes Partnerland haben wir uns zusammen mit unseren Trägern und Partnern für Polen entschieden. Dieser Entschluss soll zum einen der jahr-zehntelangen deutsch-polnischen Freundschaft Rechnung tragen. Ferner zeigen die jüngsten Bestrebungen zwischen polnischer und deutscher Regierung in Sachen europäi-scher Energieunion, wie wichtig die Frage der Energie-politik und deren Unabhängigkeit in der Rohstoffbeschaf-fung ist. So eignet sich die ISH besonders gut, um den polnischen Firmen hierfür eine Plattform zu bieten.

2015, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for The Bathroom

Experience, Building Services, Air Conditioning Tech-

nology and Renewable Energies. What lies in store for

visitors? TOP FAIR ISH talked with Stefan Seitz, Head of

ISH Brand Management.

Mr Seitz, what are the themes at this year’s ISH?ISH embraces pioneering themes such as the protection of natural resources, the use of renewable energies, demo-graphic change and the resultant changing conditions in terms of water and power generation.

In the ISH Water section, exhibitors will be presenting sustainable, design-conscious bathroom solutions. The top topic of 2015 is “Interior + Technology – Design and Function in Harmony”. Among other things, this involves the efficient use of water, personal hygiene, drinking water hygiene, and solutions for individual consumer needs.

In the ISH Energy section visitors can view the entire spectrum of innovative building systems. The focus here is on the top theme of “Energy efficiency plus”. This includes, among other things, the switch to renewable energy in the heating market, hybrid systems and trends in technology.

Air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technologies come under the name of Aircontec. The industry will be presenting innovative component and system solutions that will provide high levels of energy efficiency, thermal comfort and air quality. Concepts for renovation projects and new buildings will also be showcased.

Intelligent building automation and energy manage-ment systems which combine comfort and energy efficien-cy are the focus of the top theme of “Future Buildings”. Exhibitors will be presenting their latest innovations in Halls 10.2 and 10.3.

What's new for visitors in 2015?We have added the Forum in view of the increased demand for the Bathroom Experience. We have also introduced a partner country concept for the first time at ISH 2015. In consultation with our sponsors and partners, we have decided that Poland should be the first partner country. This decision reflects the close links between Germany and Poland stretching back decades. The latest discussions between the Polish and German governments with regard to the European Energy Union also highlights the impor-tance of energy policy and independence in the procure-ment of raw materials. ISH is therefore an ideal opportu-nity to offer a platform for Polish companies.

Das generationenübergreifende Bad liegt im Trend. Zu ihm gehören z. B. eine bodenebene Dusche und mehrere Bäder. So herrschen im Gäste- und Ausweichbad klare Strukturen, weiße Objekte und gerade Linien vor. Zum „Eltern-Spa“ gehört eine Dampf-dusche, in der sich der Alltagsstress wegspülen lässt. Holzmöbel und Kiesel-fliesen am Boden vermitteln Wärme und das Gefühl, zu Hause zu sein.

Back in Europe: bathroom freedomAt only 50 minutes a day, Germans spend the least amount of time in their bathrooms compared to people from other countries. Nevertheless, consumers and contractors are thinking of bathrooms more and more as personal comfort zones. Customers want wellness and fitness areas, and they are also thinking about the future, with cross-genera-tion bathrooms being in fashion. They include floor-level showers and multiple bathrooms, among others. The guest bathroom is dominated by clear structures, white objects and straight lines. The “parent spa” includes a steam shower that washes away the stresses of day-to-day life. Wooden furniture and floor pebble tiles give a feeling of warmth and coming home.

Der Messeturm Frankfurt mit seiner bleistiftartigen Sil-houette ist eines der markantesten Gebäude der Stadt. In der Bleistiftspitze des 257 Meter hohen Büroturms verber-gen sich umfassende Gebäudetechnik und Installationen. Rund 50 Kilometer Rohrleitungen schaffen Frischwasser hoch und Abwasser wieder hinunter. Gut 20 Jahre nach seiner Eröffnung erhielt der Messeturm als eines der ers-ten Hochhäuser in Europa die Auszeichnung LEED Silber[1]. Der prominente Messeturm erhielt es u. a. für seinen gesenkten Energieverbrauch.

Im Kreis energieeffizienter Wolkenkratzer ist er nicht alleine. Der 2009 fertiggestellte Opernturm – 170 Meter und 42 Stockwerke hoch – wurde sogar mit dem Label LEED Gold ausgezeichnet. Auch der 200 Meter hohe Tower 185, Anfang 2012 offiziell eingeweiht, hat dieses Prädikat erhalten. Mit im Bunde sind die Deutsche Bank-Türme. Sie

With its pencil-like silhouette, the Frankfurt Messeturm is one of the city's most distinctive buildings. Building technology and installa-tions are hidden away in the pencil point of the 257-metre-high office tower. A good 20 years after its com-pletion, and as one of the first sky-scrapers in Europe, it was awarded LEED Silver[1], for its decreased energy consumption, among other things.

It is not the only energy-efficient skyscraper, however. The Opernturm, which was completed in 2009 and is 170 metres and 42 floors high, was even awarded the LEED Gold label. The 200-metre-high Tower 185, opened officially at the start of 2012, was also given the accolade Gold. Since their extensive refurbishment, the Deutsche Bank Twin Towers have also been a showcase project in terms of green building technology. Energy consumption for heating and air-con-ditioning was lowered by 67 percent, water consumption by 74 percent, and CO2 emissions by nearly as much as 90 percent. For this achievement the Twin Towers received the LEED Platinum certificate and DGNB Gold award from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

Frankfurts energieeffiziente Riesen Frankfurt’s energy-efficient giants

sind seit ihrer umfassenden Renovie-rung ein Vorzeigeprojekt für grüne Gebäudetechnik. Der Energieverbrauch für Heizung und Klimatisierung wurde um 67 Prozent gesenkt, der Wasserverbrauch um 74 Prozent und die CO2-Emissionen sogar um fast 90 Prozent. Dafür gab es LEED Platin und die Auszeichnung DGNB-Gold der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Nach-haltiges Bauen.

Um das LEED-Label zu erhalten, müssen Gebäude u. a. für effiziente Wassernutzung oder die Optimierung des Energiebedarfs Punkte sammeln. Den effizienten Frankfurter Wolken-kratzern ist das gelungen, indem sie Regenwasser nutzen oder den Heiz-und Kühlbedarf über Bauteilaktivie-rung senken. Zu diesem Zweck werden Rohrleitungen in den Betondecken oder Wänden verlegt. Durch sie fließt Wasser als Heiz- bzw. Kühlmedium und temperiert unsichtbar die Räume.

Diese Systeme und weitere Flächen heizungen/Kühlungen sowie zugehörige Rohrleitungen, Armaturen und die Berechnungssoftware findet der Messebesucher in den Hallen 4, 5 und 6. Darüber hinaus auch Geräte und Systeme für die Vorwandinstalla-tion, Fittings, Befestigungstechnik, Klempnertechnik, Werkzeuge, Werk-statteinrichtungen bis hin zur passen-den Software für den Betrieb.

In order to receive a LEED label, buildings have to collect points, including for efficient water use and the optimisation of energy consump-tion. The efficient Frankfurt skyscrap-ers achieved this by using rain water or decreasing the need for heating or cooling through component activa-tion. Pipes are therefore laid in con-crete ceilings or walls. Water flows through them as a heating or cooling medium, and heats or cools the rooms invisibly.

Visitors will find these systems and other surface heaters/coolers, and matching pipes, fittings and calcula-tion software in Halls 4, 5 and 6. Units and systems for concealed installa-tions, fittings, fastening technology, plumbing technology, tools, workshop equipment, and suitable office soft-ware will also be on display.

Auf den ersten Blick sieht es auf dem Messestand unspektakulär aus: das Kellerkraftwerk für ein Ein familienhaus.

Es nimmt nicht mehr Platz ein als eine Gefriertruhe. Hinzu kommen meist ein wandhängendes Brennwertgerät und

ein Pufferspeicher wie bei anderen Heizungen auch. Mit so einer Anlage können Hausbesitzer sich selbst weitgehend

autark mit Strom versorgen und gleichzeitig Wärme für Heizung und Warmwasser erzeugen. Während die großen

Kohle- und Gaskraft werke den Strom mit hohen Energieverlusten in die Haushalte liefern, produzieren die kleinen

Kraftwerke ohne Transportverluste den Strom vor Ort.

At first glance the basement power plant for detached houses does not look very spectacular at the booth.

It takes up no more space than a chest freezer. On top of that it usually includes a wall-mounted boiler and a buffer

storage tank like with other heating systems. With such a system home owners can generate most of the electricity

they need, and at the same time produce heat and hot water. While large coal and gas power stations supply electricity

to households, losing a great deal of energy in the process, small power stations generate electricity on site without

any transport losses.

Das cleverste Mini-Kraftwerk ist ein Brennstoffzellengerät. Im Vergleich zu den etablierten Motoren, die sonst in Blockheizkraftwerken (BHKW) eingesetzt wer-den, besitzt es einen viel höheren Gesamtwirkungsgrad. Die Brennstoffzelle ist kompakt, brummt und vibriert nicht bei der Arbeit. Ihre Abgase sind sauber, in die Umwelt entweichen keine Stickoxide und kaum Kohlenmonoxid.

Nach langer Entwicklungszeit hat die Brennstoffzelle die Feldtestphase ver-lassen und startet jetzt auf dem Heizungsmarkt durch. Dabei ist die Technik schon seit über 150 Jahren bekannt: 1838 entdeckte der deutschen Chemiker Christian Friedrich Schönbein das Wirkprinzip. Erst in den 1960er Jahren entwi-ckelte sie die Raumfahrt weiter.

In der Zelle verbrennt der Brennstoff nicht in einer Flamme. Stattdessen wird hier Erdgas elektrochemisch umgewandelt. Dabei entstehen Strom und Wärme. Es gibt auf dem Markt verschiedene Bauarten, die aber im Grunde alle gleich arbeiten: Elektrodenpaare (Anode und Kathode) sind durch einen festen oder flüssigen Elektrolyten getrennt. Das Prinzip ist mit dem Elektronenaus-tausch einer Batterie vergleichbar.

Die Bauarten unterscheiden sich in der Art der Elektrolyte und im verwen-deten Brennstoff. Für die Hauskraftwerke kommen Polymer-Elektrolyt-Memb-ran-Brennstoffzelle (PEMFC) und die Oxidkeramische Brennstoffzelle (SOFC) zum Einsatz. Der Einbau eines Brennstoffzellengerätes unterscheidet sich nur wenig von herkömmlichen Gasheizungen. Neben einem Speicher benötigen sie einen Internetanschluss für Fernwartung und einen zweiten Stromzähler für das Einspeisen. Eine attraktive Förderung für den Einbau gib es obendrein.

In den Hallen 8, 9 und 10.1 bekommen die Besucher der ISH das Gesamtspektrum an Gebäude- und Energietechnik und Erneuerbaren Energien zu sehen. Hier präsentieren die Aussteller ihre Weltneuheiten aus den Bereichen hybride Systeme, Solaranlagen, Wärmepumpen, Gas-BHKW, Einzel-raumfeuerstätten, moderne Brennwerttechnik und vieles mehr.

The smartest miniature power plant is a fuel cell unit. Compared to established motors usually used in combined heat and power plants it has a much higher overall efficiency. Fuel cells are compact, and do not hum or vibrate during operation. Their exhaust gases are clean, and no nitrogen oxides and hardly any carbon monoxide are released into the atmosphere.

After a long period of development, fuel cells are beyond the field trial phase and are breaking into the heating market. The technology has emerged more than 150 years ago, however. In 1838, German chemical engineer Christian Friedrich Schönbein discovered the operating principle. It was further devel-oped in the aerospace industry as late as the 1960s.

The fuel does not burn as a flame inside the cell. Instead natural gas is con-verted electrochemically in it, generating electricity and heat. There are various types of fuel cell on the market which in principle all work in the same way. Electrode pairs (anode and cathode) are separated by solid or liquid electrolytes. The principle can be compared to the exchange of electrons in a battery.

The various types differ in the electrolytes and fuel used. Polymer electro-lyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are used in domestic power plants. Installing fuel cell units is very similar to installing con-ventional gas boilers. Along with a storage tank, an internet connection is need-ed for remote maintenance, and a second electricity meter for power input. And attractive subsidies are also available for installation.

In addition to fuel cell units, a large number of other efficient heating tech-nology systems are on display at ISH in Halls 8 and 9, including hybrid systems, solar systems, heat pumps, gas-fired combined heat and power plants, stand-alone stoves, modern boiler technology, and many more.

Neue Pelletkessel-GenerationDer diesjährige ISH-Messeauftritt von ÖkoFen steht ganz im Zeichen des brandneuen Kessels Pellematic Condens. Das Einzigartige an diesem Brenn-wertkessel im neuen Design ist, dass er – unabhängig von der Rücklauftempe-ratur – in jedes Heizsystem eingebaut werden kann. The heat emit-ted by the PV module – up to 80°C in the summer – is used for raising the temperature of heating water and service water. Wirtschaftsmotor Sanitär Heizung KlimaDazu trägt insbesondere die SHK-Branche bei. Ein Indikator ist die

seit Langem stark wachsende Standfläche polnischer Aussteller auf der ISH (Steigerung in Quadratmeter 2011/2013: rund 53 Prozent; 2013/2015: rund 44 Prozent). 2013 reisten über 2.600 Besucher aus Polen an. Darüber hinaus ist die ISH wichtiger Impulsgeber für den in bei-den Ländern kräftig zunehmenden Sektor der erneuer-baren Energien und fördert einen vitalen Wissensaus-tausch.

Partner country PolandPoland is the first partner country at ISH. Germany's neighbouring country was not only chosen for this year because of the longstanding German-Polish friendship, but also because Poland and Germany are jointly invol-ved in the European Energy Union, with the aim of becoming more independent in the procurement of raw materials. This is only possible with renewable energies and efficient technologies. That is where ISH, the largest water and energy fair, comes in.

Sanitation, heating and air-conditioning as an economic driving forceThe sanitation, heating and air-conditioning industry plays a major role here. One indicator is the rapidly increasing booth area of Polish exhibitors at ISH (increase in square metres from 2011 to 2013 approxi-mately 53 percent). In 2013, more than 2,600 Poles travelled to Frankfurt. In 2015, the proportion of Polish exhibitors has increased considerably, with 44 percent more exhibitors compared to 2013. ISH promotes an essential exchange of know-how and is an important source of inspiration for the renewable energy industry, which is rapidly growing in both countries.

Vollautomatische Kondensat-HebeanlageKSB stellt eine vollautomatische Hebeanlage vor. Sie fördert Kondensat aus Heizungen sowie aus Klima- und Kühlanlagen. Vor allem moderne Brennwertgeräte, die sich unterhalb der Rückstauebene befinden, benötigen eine solche Anlage. Der Kondensat-Lift fördert bis zu 340 l/h Flüssigkeit auf eine Höhe von bis zu 4,50 m. Die immer kleinere eingebettete Computertechnik soll den Menschen unterstützen, ohne abzulenken oder überhaupt aufzufal-len. Anwendungen wie z. B. Apps ermöglichen eine Steuerung aller Geräte, die Bestandteil des Internets der Dinge sind. Smarthome ist das

Internet der Dinge für Zuhause. Die Herausforderung ist, dass das Vernet-zen über Plattformen hinweg und über einen offenen Standard erfolgt, der auch Datensicherheit und Daten-schutz berücksichtigt.

Zehn Millionen nutzen Smart HomeSchon jeder siebte Deutsche (14 Pro-zent) ab 14 Jahren nutzt bereits Smart Home-Anwendungen. Das entspricht gut zehn Millionen Bundesbürgern. So lautet das Ergebnis einer repräsen-tativen Umfrage des Digitalverbands BITKOM. Danach gibt es ein großes Marktpotenzial für intelligente Assis-tenz- und Fernsteuersysteme. The internet of thingsAs early as 1966, the German cyber-neticist Karl Steinbuch looked into the future and predicted that there will be no industrial product that won't be controlled by a computer. Today we talk about the “internet of things”, where computers disappear more and more and are replaced by smart objects. Smaller and smaller embed-ded computer technology will help people in their day-to-day activities without distracting them or attract-ing their attention. Applications such as apps enable any device which is part of the internet of things to be controlled. Smart home is the internet of things for the home. The challenge

is to make connections across differ-ent platforms via an open standard which takes into account data securi-ty and data protection.

10 million people use smart home applicationsOne in seven Germans (14 percent) from the age of 14 is already using smart home applications. According to a representative survey by the BITKOM digital association, this is equivalent to more than 10 million people. The survey also suggests that there is huge market potential for smart assistance systems and remote systems. Almost two in three con-sumers (62 percent) can imagine set-

Wärmezähler mit JAZDer Sontex Superstatic 470 oder 479 SPF (Compact Split Version) ist der erste Wärmezähler, der für Wärmepumpen gleichzeitig die abgegebene Wärmemenge und den Strom-verbrauch erfasst. So kann er die Jahresarbeitszahl „JAZ“ von Wärmepumpen direkt ausweisen. Dafür werden der Elektrozähler und die Peripheriegeräte über einen Impuls-eingang aufgeschaltet. Abrufbar sind die momentane, kumulierte Arbeitszahl sowie die Tages- und Jahresarbeits-zahl.

Diese regenerative Technologie hat in den letzten Jahren große Fortschritte gemacht. Ein Vorteil ist, dass die Gebäu-deklimatisierung in Bezug auf das Profil der Energieanfor-derung besonders gut zur Verfügbarkeit der Sonnenener-gie passt. Warm ist es schließlich vor allem im Sommer, wenn die Sonne besonders kräftig scheint.

Photovoltaik hilft sparenZum Kühlen lässt sich die Sonnenenergie auf verschiede-nen Wegen nutzen. Die Stromerzeugung mit Photovoltaik ist mittlerweile so günstig geworden, dass sich die Kombi-nation von elektrischen Klimageräten und Solarstrom anbietet. Auch viele Wärmepumpen besitzen eine Kühl-funktion. Werden sie mit einer Photovoltaik-Anlage kombi-niert, lassen sie sich im Sommer nutzen, um das Gebäude auf umweltfreundliche Art angenehm kühl zu halten. So steigt zudem der Anteil des selbst genutzten Solarstroms. Im Winter heizt die Wärmepumpe natürlich das Haus – wenn möglich ebenfalls mit Solarstrom.

Photovoltaic systems help you saveSolar energy can be used in a variety of ways for cooling purposes. Generating electricity using photovoltaic sys-tems has now become so cheap that a combination of elec-tric air-conditioning units and solar power seems ideal. There are many heat pumps that are also equipped with cooling functionality. If they are combined with a photo-voltaic system they can be used in the summer to keep the temperature in the building comfortably cool in an envi-ronmentally friendly way. And the proportion of solar power used is also increased. In the winter a heat pump is used to heat the house – also by solar power if possible.

Sonnenwärme zum KühlenOft werden für das solare Kühlen auch thermisch angetrie-bene Kältemaschinen eingesetzt. Sonnenkollektoren erzeu-gen die dafür benötigte Wärme. Adsorptionskältemaschinen arbeiten mit festen Sorbentien (absorbierendes Material) wie Silikagel und Zeolith sowie Wasser als Kältemittel. Absorptionskältemaschinen dagegen nutzen meistens Gemische aus Ammoniak und Wasser oder Salzlösungen wie Lithiumbromid.

Generell gilt beim thermischen Kühlen: Je höher die Antriebstemperatur, desto effizienter können die Kälte-maschinen arbeiten. Besonders hohe Wirkungsgrade erreicht man daher mit konzentrierenden Sonnenkollek-toren und zweistufigen Kühlprozessen. Mit moderner Technologie und erneuerbaren Energien kann man so die Umweltbilanz der Gebäudeklimatisierung verbessern und Energiekosten sparen.

Die gesamte Palette der Klima-, Kälte- und Lüftungs-technik ist zur ISH unter dem Namen Aircontec in der Halle 11 und 10.2 vertreten.

Solar heat for coolingOften thermally driven cooling units are also used for solar cooling, with solar collectors generating the heat needed. Adsorption cooling units use solid sorbents (absor-bent material) such as silicagel, zeolite, and water as a cool-ant. Absorption cooling units, on the other hand, mostly use a mix of ammonia and water, or saline solutions such as lithium bromide.

The general rule for thermal cooling is that the higher the operating temperature, the more efficient the cooling units. Particularly high levels of efficiency can be achieved with concentrated solar collectors and two-stage cooling processes. The use of modern technology and renewable energies improves the environmental record of building air-conditioning and saves energy costs.

The whole range of air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation technologies, under the name of Aircontec, are gracing the Halls 11 and 10.2 at ISH.

Energy-efficient The Air 70 caters for all the ventila-tion requirements of a single room in one system. Its patented technology makes it a highly energy-efficient appliance. The fresh air supply is fed through the built-in heat exchanger where it is preheated by the ‘stale’ and warm air that is extracted from the room. That results in generous venti-lation with hardly any heat losses.

Silent and without duct systemThe Air 70 is remarkably quiet while operating at full power. Indeed, it is one of the most silent decentral venti-lation appliance on the market. Since

it does not require a duct system, the Air 70 is easily incorporated in an exterior wall. That makes the appli-ance particularly suitable for apart-ments or dwellings where installation of an extensive duct system is a prob-lem. Or for that one special room which has no proper ventilation pro-vision. Only the hood with its mod-ern and unobtrusive design is visible, which makes the Air 70 fit in any interior.

Small size, great power The capacity of the Air 70 is a con-siderable 70 m3 per hour, while the diameter of the exterior wall duct is only 250 mm. On top of that, a unique feature of this ventilation unit is the option to completely automatically bypass (100 %) the heat exchanger. The Ecodesign directive for air-conditioning is the main focus of presentations at the ISH 2015 CLIMATE FORUM.

FansSince 2013, minimum energy efficiency requirements have been in place for fans from 125 watts. These requirements have been significantly tightened from January 1, 2015.

Home ventilationFrom January 1, 2016, minimum requirements for residen-tial ventilation equipment according to the Ecodesign directive will also be introduced for the first time. At stage 1, devices have to save at least as much heating energy as they use electricity. At stage 2 the requirements will be tightened.

Room ventilation unitsMinimum energy efficiency requirements will also be in place for central room ventilation units from January 1, 2016. The requirements are so strict that the size of ventila-tion units is expected to increase by up to 30% from 2016.

WohnungslüftungAb 1. Januar 2016 gelten für Wohnungslüftungsgeräte auch erstmals Mindestanforderungen nach der Ecodesign-Richt-linie. In der 1. Stufe müssen die Geräte mindestens so viel Heizenergie einsparen, wie sie Strom verbrauchen. In der 2. Stufe werden die Anforderungen verschärft.

Raumlufttechnische ZentralgeräteEbenfalls ab 1. Januar 2016 werden für RLT-Zentralgeräte Mindestanforderungen für die Effizienz gelten. Die Anfor-derungen sind so hoch, dass davon ausgegangen werden muss, dass die Lüftungsgeräte ab 2016 um bis zu 30 % grö-ßer ausgeführt werden müssen.

Effiziente LüftungsgeräteGEA präsentiert neue RLT-Geräte: Das COM4plus und die Kompaktgeräte der Serie ATpicco sind nun auch mit Gegenstromwärmeübertragern erhältlich. Ihr Wärme-rückgewinn beträgt bis 90 Prozent. Die Schwimmhallenklimageräte GEA CAIRpool wurden für einen energieeffizienteren Betrieb ausgestattet. Sie besitzen u.a. EC-Ventilatoren, invertergeregelte Verdichter und elektronische Expansionsventile.

Efficient ventilation unitsGEA is showcasing new room ventilation units. COM4plus and the compact units of the ATpicco series are now also available with countercurrent heat exchangers, and they have a thermal recovery of up to 90 %. The GEA CAIRpool swimming pool air-conditioning units have been equipped for energy-efficient operation. They have EC fans, inverter-controlled compressors and electronic expansion valves.

WärmerückgewinnungKlingenburg stellt den Gegenstrom-Plattenwärmeübertrager GS 30-Top vor. Er bietet laut Hersteller, aufgrund geringerer Plattendichtabstände, bessere Rückwärmezahlen. Sie reichen bis 95 Prozent. Der damit einhergehende Anstieg des Druckverlusts wurde durch Optimieren der Plattenstruktur minimiert. Der GS 30-Top ist geeignet für Luftvolumenströme von 50 bis 850 m³/h.

Thermal recoveryKlingenburg presents the GS 30-Top counter flow plate heat exchanger. According to the manufacturer, it offers up to 5 percent better return heat values thanks to smaller plate spacings. The values are as high as 95 percent. The resultant increased pressure loss is minimised by an optimised plate structure. The GS 30-Top is suitable for volumetric air flows of 50 to 850 m³/h.
