Catholic Saints of Montréal and Québec City
Canada Pilgrimage—August 15-18, 2019.
Father Robert Kilner, Spiritual Director.
Please join Father Kilner on this wonderful pilgrimage to visit 16th
century Montréal and Québec City! You will see the most beautiful
churches in North America. We will follow the path of Saint Pope
John Paul II’s pilgrimage to Canada in 1984. Montréal will feature
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, Saint Joseph’s Oratory (Saint André Bes-
sette), Notre Dame Cathedral and more. In route to Québec City, we
will visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Cape. The highlight of the
pilgrimage will be our days in Old Québec and our visit to the the
Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupré on the St. Lawrence River. Free time
will be available to experience the history and fabulous cuisine of
Québec City. The pilgrimage is 4 Days and 3 Nights and includes
Roundtrip Airfare, Lodging, Meals, Private Euro-coach, Daily Mass
and Rosary. Space is very limited. Please see website for details:

SACRED HEART CEMETERY NEWS
The Sacred Heart Cemetery Improvement Commit-
tee will be hosting a Dinner Theater on Saturday,
October 26. The play will be produced in associa-
tion with the Port Tobacco Players. We are looking for several
male and female actors from age 16 and up. No experience is
necessary. Please contact Mike Gahan at 301-609-1969 to ex-
press your interest.
FAITH DIRECT: Sacred Heart can take particular joy in this
celebration, as the response to Faith Direct in our parish has been
wonderful. My goal is for Sacred Heart families to put envelopes
on a permanent “summer vacation” and make the switch to Faith
Direct.
By embracing this practice, you will simplify your giving and help
provide our parish with consistent support. This is especially im-
portant in the summer months when many families may be out of
town some weekends and Sacred Heart does not receive their en-
velopes. It’s easy for people to forget to catch up once they’re
back, and our weekly offertory can fluctuate as a result – making it
harder to predict how much we will have to sustain our year-round
ministries.
The more families who welcome the beginning of summer by em-
bracing this practice, the more consistent and predictable our of-
fertory will be month after month and this will help us do even
more to spread Christ’s love throughout the community.
I ask you to give Faith Direct your prayerful consideration, and
give envelopes a permanent vacation this summer. You can sign
up online at www.faithdirect.net using our church code MD244 or
mail in an enrollment form available from the parish office.
May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly this summer
and throughout the year!
