UNTERNEHMENDie Firma FUHRMANN - Fahrzeuge Ges.m.b.H. beschäftigt sich seit 1975 mit der Produktion von Stahlbordwandprofilen, und hat sich auf diesem Gebiet zum international führenden Hersteller entwickelt. Der Export der Produkte in über 30 Länder bestätigt die Marktposition des Unternehmens, und diese soll auch zukünftig entsprechend den Unternehmenszielen ausgebaut werden. Durch die eigene Erzeugung von Kippern und Aufbauten, sind uns die technischen Anforderungen im Fahrzeugbau bestens bekannt. Unsere branchenspezifische jahrzehntelange Erfahrung war die Grundlage für die Konzeption des FUHRMANN-Stahlbordwandprogramms für den Fahrzeugbau.
PRODUKTIONSPROGRAMM
Auf der vollautomatischen Rollprofilieranlage fertigen wir in einem Arbeitsgang hochqualitative Stahlbordwände.
Die profilierten Versteifungskästen an der Ober- und Unterseite der Profile werden mittels Laserschweißung hermetisch dicht verschweißt. Die Profile werden in Materialstärken von 1,0 bis 2,5 mm, aus Stahlqualitäten 235 bis S500, in Produktions- längen von 0,5 bis 13,5 m mit Toleranzen von +/- 1 mm hergestellt. Als Sonderprogramm werden für spezielle Einsatzzwecke Profile aus verzinktem Material sowie aus Edelstahl V2A / V4A hergestellt. Auf Kundenwunsch können die Profile bereits bei der Produktion für Transport bzw. auch für die spätere Einlagerung mit einem Korrosionsschutz in verschiedenen Güteklassen von ACP1-ACP3 versehen werden.
Das umfangreiche Typenprogramm umfasst ca. 100 verschiedene Profiltypen im Bereich von 300 bis 1000 mm Höhe.
Die Stahlbordwände werden auch mit Abschlussprofilen gemäß Kundenwunsch geliefert, welche auf modernsten Schweiß- roboteranlagen vollautomatisch verschweißt werden. Die weitere Komplettierung mit Verschlüssen, Scharnieren bzw. allen sonstigen erforderlichen Konstruktionsteilen erfolgt auf einer vol-lautomatischen Roboteranlage.
EINSATZGEBIET
FUHRMANN-Profile sind für Aufbauten von landwirtschaftlichen und kommunalen Kippern, für leicht- bis mittelschwere LKW, LKW-Anhänger und Tieflader, sowie für PKW-Anhänger konzipiert.
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit führenden Fahrzeugbaufirmen werden die Typenreihen in Richtung der jeweiligen Erfordernisse im Fahrzeugbau gemäß den Richtlinien der ISO 9001 permanent weiterentwickelt.
FUHRMANN-LASER-WELDING-TECHNOLOGY
FUHRMANN ist der Pionier bei der Fertigung von lasergeschweißten Stahlbordwänden. Durch den Einsatz modernster Lasertechnologie können auch höchste Qualitäts- anforderungen unserer Kunden im Bordwandbereich erfüllt werden. Durch die 100% durchgehende Laser-Schweißung der Profilkästen erreicht man neben einer wesentlichen Festigkeitssteigerung auch einen optimalen Hohlraumschutz durch hermetisch abgeschlossene Kastenprofile. Die sonst für den hochqualitativen Langzeitkorrosionsschutz erforderlichen Maßnahmen zur Hohlraumkonservierung bzw. für zusätzlich erforderliche Abdichtungen zur Verhinderung von Spaltkorrosion an den Blechkanten können gänzlich entfallen.
Aus diesen technischen Vorteilen resultiert sowohl eine wesentliche Kostenersparnis bei den erforderlichen Korrosionsschutzmaßnahmen und der gesamten Lackier- vorbehandlung, als auch eine eindeutig erkennbare Qualitäts- steigerung des Endproduktes.
COMPANYSince 1975 FUHRMANN has been focused on the production of steel sideboards and has evolved into the leading producer in this very specific field of vehicle components. The export of our products in more than 30 countries confirms the market position of the company and will be developed in the future according to the company targets. Based on our production know-how in manufacturing agricultural tippers and bodies, we know the technical requirements through our own long-time experience very well. Our specific knowledge of the demands of the vehicle industry was built up over many decades, and is the base for the design and permanent development of the model range of the Fuhrmann steel sideboards program.
PRODUCTION PROGRAM
On our automatic roll-profiling-machine we manufacture high quality steel sideboards.
The top and bottom hollow profiles are tightly closed by laser welding and give the enormous strength to the sideboards. The profiles are produced in a thickness of 1,25 up to 2,5 mm, in steel qualities of S235 up to S500MC and in a production lengths of 0,5 to 13,5 m with +/- 1mm tolerance. For special targeted applications profiles are produced also from galvanized material, high grade steel and V2A / V4A stainless steel as special program. On customer’s request we can automatically protect the profiles for transportation or for subsequent storage with an Anti-Corrosion-Protection in various grades of ACP1-ACP3.
The extensive program of steel sideboards covers around 100 different types within the range of heights from 300 to max. 1000 mm.
On request the steel sideboards can be supplied with robot welded terminal closings according customer’s specification. In a next processing step we can complete the steel sideboards with locks, hinges and all other required construction parts, in highest welding quality on a fully automatically robot machine.

FUHRMANN – LASER – WELDING – TECHNOLOGY
FUHRMANN is the pioneer in the production of laser-welded steel side panels. By using the latest laser-welding technology we can meet also the highest quality requirements of our customers in the vehicle industry. By the 100% continuous laser-welding we reach with the full hermetically sealed box profiles an optimal hollow box protection in addition to a significant increase of the static and dynamic strengths of the dropsides. Additional measures to reach a high-quality and long-term corrosion protection of the hollow-boxes or additional seals to prevent corrosion to the metal edges are not required anymore, and can save a lot of costs in the painting preparation.
The result out of these technical benefits is a significant cost saving potential in the required corrosion protection measures and the painting preparation, as well as a clearly recognizable increase in quality of the final product.
