Waste-to-Energy Plant UIOM Posieux, Fribourg/Switzerland

In der Anlage UIOM Posieux wird der Abfall aus

insgesamt 315 Gemeinden der Kantone Fribourg

und Vaudois verbrannt. Damit kommen diese Ge-

meinden dem in der Schweiz geltenden Deponie-

verbot nach. Für die Feuerung wird ein MARTIN

Rückschub-Rost mit 3 Bahnen eingesetzt.

Die bei der Verbrennung freiwerdende Energie wird

im Dampfkessel zu überhitztem Dampf umgesetzt.

Dieser kann entweder in Strom umgewandelt oder

als Fernwärme abgegeben werden.

Die aufwendige Abgasreinigung mit Flugasche-

wäsche und Abwasserbehandlung sichert die Einhal-

tung von Emissionsgrenzwerten weit unter den An-

forderungen der in der Schweiz geltenden Luftrein-

halte-Verordnung (LRV).

Waste from 315 communities in the cantons of

Fribourg and Vaudois is incinerated at the Waste-to-

Energy plant UIOM Posieux. These communities are

thus complying with the ban on landfilling that applies

in Switzerland. A MARTIN reverse-acting grate with

3 runs is used in the combustion system.

The energy released during combustion is trans-

formed into superheated steam in the steam boiler.

This steam can either be converted to electricity or

used for district heating purposes.

Emission values well below the limit values specified

by Swiss regulations are guaranteed through the

complex flue gas cleaning system comprising fly ash

scrubbing and waste water treatment.
