AlphADur®, a new dimension in micro invasive surgery.

The AlphADur® instruments offer a very high form stability. This has been achieved by using a state of art of ceramic titanium alloy. Using these new instruments, surgeons can conveniently perform micro invasive “key-hole” surgery via a small skin pick incision. This kind of surgery can be used, for example, to repair an inguinal hernia or remove adhesions without causing cosmetically relevant scars. A significant reason for less pain and higher patient comfort.

CautionReprocessing procedures have only limited implications to a surgical instrument. The limitation of the numbers of reprocessing procedures is therefore determined by the function / wear of the device.Used device needs to be reprocessed before sending back to the manufacturer.Please ask for the product-specific instructions for use.

Preparation at the point of useAfter each use during surgery remove excess soiling by submerging the instru-ment in cold water (<40°C) and flush the instrument with sterile water with our high pressure syringe S.0598.90 through the LUER-LOCK cleaning adapter.

Do not use a fixating detergent or hot water (>40°C) as this can cause the fixation of residues which may influence the result of the reprocessing process.

Preparation for decontamination / manual pre-cleaningWear suitable protective clothing: gloves, eye protection, etc.The devices must be reprocessed in an opened state.Immerse the instrument in cold tap water for at least 5 minutes. Brush (do not use metal brush) under cold tap water until all visible residues are removed. In-ner lumens, threads and holes are individually flushed with a water jet pistol for minimum 10 seconds in the pulsed mode.

ultrasonic cleaningImmerse the product in an ultrasonic bath with alkaline or enzymatic detergent (0,5%) and treat with ultrasonic for 15 minutes at 40°C (35 – 45 KHz). Change the position of the products once. The product is taken out of the bath and rinsed with cold tab water again. Follow the information provided by the equipment manufacturer.

If necessary, repeat cleaning and disinfection.Products, such as clamps, scissors, needle holders, etc. must be specifically treated at the joints, locks, cutting edges and sliding surfaces. Oiling the entire product is unnecessary. Excess oil should be removed.Oiling provides the product with optimal lubrication and protects against corrosion.GIMMI® InStrument oIlS J8860.06 and J.8860.08 are suitable for steam sterilization and dry heat sterilization for up to 180°C.Check for compatibility with corresponding parts. Inspect products for damages, loose parts, and wear. Perform a function test according to the instructions of use. Sort out damaged instruments.
