D e r Landesverband SCHWARZWALD-BODENSEE h a t t e zum 1. M a i zu e i n e mT r e f f e n e i n g e l a d e n , in dessen M i t t e l p u n k t Veteranen-Maschinen u n dE i g e n b a u t e n s t e h e n s o l l t e n . D e r Ta g begann m i t R e g e n und K ä l t e u n dm a c h t e dem Namen "Wonnemonat" k e i n e E h r e . A l s V e r a n s t a l t e r s a h e n w i rs c h o n schwarz u n d das g u t v o r b e r e i t e t e T r e f f e n b u c h s t ä b l i c h i n ' sWasse r f a l l e n . D i e e r s t e n G ä s t e waren s c h o n a m 30 .4 . e r s c h i e n e n u n dh a t t e n , w i e s i c h s p ä t e r h e r a u s s t e l l t e , d i e w e i t e s t e A n f a h r t s s t r e c k eh i n t e r s i c h . Es waren H e r r und F r a u Kraemu la t aus S o l i n g e n . W i rs o l l t e n e i n K i n d und e i n e e rwachsene B e g l e i t e r i n m i tnehmen .
René wa r 6 Jah re a l t und e i n e v o n den v i e l e n K i n d e r n , de r en twegens i c h momentan e i n G e r i c h t um d i e K l ä r u n g d e r S c h u l d f r a g e bemüht ,Beim Anb l i c k unseres Ge fäh r t e sag t e d e r K l e i n e : "Das i s t k e i nMo t o r r ad , m i t dem f a h r e i c h n i c h t ! " E r s t a l s i c h m i t i hm e i nma lherumgegangen war und d i e P l a n e abgenommen h a t t e , e r kann t e er den" C l i p p e r " a l s Se i t e nwagen a n und s t i e g e i n . D i e B e g l e i t e r i n , e i n eL e h r e r i n aus dem I n t e r n a t , nahm i h n a u f den Schoß, und p ü n k t l i c hs e t z t e s i c h d i e Karawane v o n f a s t 60 Gespannen in Bewegung.
Das e r s t e E t a p p e n z i e l war e i n Märchengar ten m i t e i n i g e n T i e r k ä fi g e n ,einem k l e i n e n Museum und e i n e r Schma lspu re i senbahn . H i e r b l i e b e nw i r zwe i Stunden und unse re k l e i n e n Fah rgäs te wurden i n i h r e nRo l l s t ü h l e n g e f a h r e n , g i n g e n s e l b s t o d e r mußten zum T e i l auch g e ‑t r a g e n werden, um a l l e s zu sehen . Dann g i n g es w i e d e r ü b e r w e n i gbe fah rene Landstraßen w e i t e r z u e i n e r Wa l d g a s t s t ä t t e m i t W i l d g e ‑h e g e , in d e r den K i n d e r n Kuchen und Kakao angeboten wu rde . Dasd r i t t e Z i e l war Sch loß Wilhelmshöhe wo w i r n u r k u r z r a s t e t e n umun s e r e n Gäs ten e i n e k l e i n e E r f r i s c h u n g z u r e i c h e n .
A l s w i r w i e d e r in d e r K l i n i k ankamen h ö r t e n w i r Wor te des Dankes,und dabe i h a t t e e s uns doch ebenso v i e l Freude gemach t .
Am Abend v o r dem Abschied sag t e e i n Mädchen zu m i r : "Dieses Ma ld u r f t e i c h n i c h t m i t , a b e r im nä c h s t e n J a h r w i r d s i c h e r e i n P l a t zf ü r m i c h f r e i s e i n ! "

Im Jah re 1954 mußte das a l s Fam i l i en f o r t bewegungs f ah r zeug dienendeschwere Gespann aus Gründen des Familien‐Zuwachses e i n i g e J a h r ewe ichen und e i n Au tomob i l a l s "Uberb rückungs fah rzeug" ange s cha f f twe rden . Nach e inem ha l b en J a h r Pause w i t t e r t e d e r Seemann dann w i e d e rS e e l u f t ‐ ; e i n Mo t o r r ad mußte h e r , a b e r dementsprechend k l e i n , dae i n e schwe re Maschine und e i n Wagen fi n a n z i e l l n i c h t t r a g b a r waren.E i n g ü n s t i g e s Angebo t wu rde angenommen: z w e i k o m p l e t t e "Föxe" m i t4 Mo t o r e n ; abe r a n a l l e n Mo to ren waren d i e K u r b e l w e l l e n r e s t l o sh i n ! D am i t das Fah r z eug z u r S t raße zuge l a s s en werden k o n n t e , wurdeaus dem ‐ böse Zungen sagen h i e r z u : S c h l a g l o c h s u c h g e r ä t ‐ e i n neuesF a h r g e s t e l l a n e i n i g e Wochen währenden Baste labenden f e r t i g g e s t e l l t .A l s H i n t e r r a d p a r t i e , d i e z u g l e i c h a l s Aufnahme des K o t fl ü g e l s , d e rS i t z b a n k und d e r Fede rbe i ne d i e n t e , wurde e i n Blechkasten a n g e ‑f e r t i g t . Dazu wurden2 neue Fede r b e i n e f ü r d i e Vo r d e r r a d g abe l a n g e f e r t i g t , d i e i n denGabe l s c h e i d e n m o n t i e r t wu rden . D e r Fede rweg b e t r u g v o r n 105, a nd e r H . -Radschw inge j edoch 110 mm. A l s Bremsnaben wurden v o r n e i n e250-er " A d l e r " ‐ und h i n t e n e i n e " P r ä n a f a " ‐ Vol lbremsnabe v e r ‑wand t . D i e Be r e i f u ngsmaße v o r n und h i n t e n : 2 ,50 x 19 Con t i - L B .De r Tank wurde von e i n e r "Ho rex -Reg ina I I I " übernommen; a l l e r d i n g swurde h i e r b e i d e r k omp l e t t e Tanktunnel h e r a u s g e s c h n i t t e n , d a d i e s e rdem F a h r g e s t e l l en tsp rechend neu a n g e f e r t i g t werden mußte .Z u s ä t z l i c h wu r den 2 A u s s p a r u n g e n f ü r d e n K n i e s c h l u ß e i n g e t r i e b e n , d i ea n s c h l i e ß e n d m i t Schaumgummi a u s g e l e g t wu rden . Und d e r Moto r kommt r e i n g e f ü h l s ‑mäß i g n i c h t a u f D r ehzah l ! ! ‐ E i n Nachrechnen e r g a b , daß das 31-zäh‑n i g e K e t t e n r a d und das 15 -zähn ige R i t z e l des Mo t o r s e i n e zu knappeUberse tzung w a r e n . Nach B e s c h a f f u n g n e u e r Ke t t en r äde r v o n 32 b i s 36gähnen e r w i e s s i c h das 3 4 ‐ e r Rad a l s das g ü n s t i g s t e . M i t d i e s e rUbe r se t zung l i e f d i e Maschine a u f d e r s e l b e n S t r e c k e h i n 97 und zu rück9 9 km/h. D i e s c h n e l l s t e Z e i t , d i e m i t d iesem Fah rzeug gemessen wurde ,w a r e n 103 km/h = 3 5 se c . f ü r 1 km! A l l e r d i n g s d ü r f t e d a d e r Rücken ‑w i n d e i n e e r h e b l i c h e R o l l e m i t g e s p i e l t haben - ‐ ‐ .M i t den F a h r e i g e n s c h a f t e n des F a h r g e s t e l l s war i c h z u f r i e d e n , g e n a u ‑s o m i t d e r W i r k s amke i t d e r Bremsen; a b e r d e r Mo t o r , d . h . d i e K u r b e l ‑we l l e , gab nach 8 .000 km den G e i s t a u f .
