Durch die Zusammenarbeit der SaltusMitarbeiter in Produktion undVerwaltung wird die Qualität derArbeitsprozesse, der Produktivitätsowie der Kundenberatung und -betreuung ständig verbessert. Since it was founded in 1919, Saltus has been producing tools for automobile manufacturers, for aircraft and ship construction, for machine construction as well

as for other lines of industry. Saltus tools areutilized wherever threaded joints are used.They are either available through normalretail channels or can be especially manu-factured from drawings or samples to meetcustomer requirements. The quality, speciali-ty and versatility of Saltus products are responsible for increasing sales and marketshare. Saltus’ aim was, and still is, toendeavour to provide industry with modern,task-orientated tools. This has producedmany innovations which have led to protec-tion of registered designs and patents.

As the progression of time witnessed theintroduction of technological advances, italso saw the introduction of new manu-facturing procedures and storage systems.In addition to high-grade CNC controlledmachines, a new fully automated high-rackwarehouse was acquired in 1997. SALTUS-Powersteckschlüssel-Einsätzewerden aus hochwertigem Chrom-Vanadium sowie Chrom-Molybdän-Sonderstählen hergestellt und eignensich für extrem hohe Belastungen. Die Oberflächen sind schwarz phosphatiert.Sämtliche Powersteckschlüssel-Einsätze werden warmverformt und imÖlbad spannungs- und verzugsfreigehärtet. Durch diese Bearbeitungs-form weisen die Werkzeuge extremenge Toleranzen auf. Die so erreichtehohe Paßgenauigkeit verringert dieanfallenden Kräfte bei der Übertragungvom Schlagschrauber zum Einsatz. Die Haltbarkeit und die Standzeit durchPaßgenauigkeit werden wesentlicherhöht. Powersteckschlüssel-Einsätze eignensich für alle elektrisch oder mitDruckluft angetriebenen Maschinen-schrauber (Dreh- und Schlag-schrauber) sowie Mehrfachschrauber,Schraubstationen und Robot-Anlagen. Die Einsätze werden je nachAusführung der Maschinenschrauber-Aufnahmen mit Verbindungsstift undO-Ring, Stift- bzw. Kugelsicherung,fest verbunden.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONOPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

SALTUS power sockets are made of first class chrome-vana-

dium as well as chrome molybdenumsteels and are suitable for extremely highloads.The surfaces have been phosphated inblack. All sockets for wrenches are hot shapedand hardened in an oil bath without tensionand distortion. Due to this processing procedure the tools have extremely tighttolerances. The great accuracy of fit achieved this way reduces the forcesoccurring during the transition from theimpact driver to the insert. The durabilityand the tool life are increased significantlydue to the accuracy of fit. Power socketsfor wrenches are suitable for all electrical

machine screwdriver or those driven bycompressed air (impact drivers or screwdrivers) plus multiple screwdrivers,screwing stations and robot plant.Depending on the design of the machinescrewdriver adapters, the inserts are connected tightly with a connecting pinand O ring, locking screw or spherical locking device.

Les douilles power SALTUS sont fabriquées d'aciers spéciaux précieux auchrome-vanadium et au chrome-molybdène, résistant ainsi aux sollicitationsextrêmement poussées.Les surfaces sont phosphatées noires.Toutes les douilles sont formées à la chaleur et durcies en bain d'huile sans tension et indéformables. Grâce à ce processus d'usinage, les outils montrentdes tolérances extrêmement étroites. La grande précision d'adaptation ainsi réalisée réduit les forces générées lors dela transmission à partir du tournevis à frapper à la douille.La résistance et le temps de séjour grâce àla précision d'ajustage sont considérablement augmentés.

Des douilles power s'adaptent à tous lestournevis mécaniques activés par électricité ou air comprimé (tournevis àtourner et à frapper) ainsi qu'aux des tournevis multiples, stations de vissage etinstallations robotiques.Suivant l'exécution des assises de tournevis mécanique, les douilles seront fermement rattachées au moyen de goupilles de jonction et bagues O, la sécurité étant assurée par goujon fileté outête sphérique.

La alta exactitud de ajuste alcanzada asíreduce las fuerzas originadas durante latransmisión de la llave al vaso insertado.De ese modo se aumentan la durabilidad yla vida útil por la exactitud de ajuste.Los vasos son adecuados para todos losapretadores mecánicos accionados eléctrica o neumáticamente (atornilladoresrotativos y de impacto), así como apretadores múltiples, estaciones atornilladoras y sistemas de robot.Según el diseño de los alojamientos de losapretadores mecánicos, los vasos se unenfuertemente con un pasador de unión y unanillo toroidal, un seguro de pasador o seguro de bola.

SALTUS precision sockets are made of firstclass chrome-vanadium as well as chromemolybdenum special steel and are suitedfor extremely high loads. The surfaces have been phosphated black.All Special Sockets and ball joint socketsare manufactured mechanically in

accordance with the set specifications withvery strict tolerances and then hardenedwithout tension or distortion. All sockets can be used with the electricalor compressed air driven machine screwdrivers, multiple screwdrivers, screwing stations and robots. We do notrecommend them for use with impact screwdrivers (oscillating or impact type forces cause the spanners to break). All ball joint sockets have a swivel angle of28° which enables them to be used formany applications.

No se recomienda laaplicación con apretadores de impacto (las fuerzas vibratorias y de percusión originadas causan la rotura de la llave). The surfaces are phosphated. Stud settertools have been especially designed tomechanically screw in threaded bolts. They can be used on all special screw driving machines with automatic reversalbetween right and left hand turns. The tools are not suitable for impact screwdrivers.

Like in any other company, special tools are tools which are not listed in the standard catalogue. Saltus

too produces a great variety of special tools.E.g. starting with a Bit to the ball joint spanner our customer had in mind.We will construct tools which harmonise our torque spanner or tools which are only suitedto your multi-spindle or robot assembly. Naturally we will also manufacture tools whichare corespont to your requirements. Belowwe have listed some information we need inorder to manufacture tools according to yourwishes if you cannot provide us with a drawing or a sketch with the appropriatescale.E.g. for a ball joint spanner we require the following information:- Drive - DIN?- Outside drive (e.g. TORX, Surface Drive,

XZN ...)?- Length- At what angle is the tool to be used?- Is the insert / shank to have a particular

diameter?- With a magnet?- With a spring?- For what screw or nut (threaded screw,

self-tapping steel screw ...)?

Des outils spéciaux sont, comme dans touteentreprise des outils ne figurant pas au catalogue standard. Chez SALTUS aussi, ungrand nombre d'outils spéciaux sont fabriqués. En partant de l'embout jusqu'à ladouille-cardan que le client s'est imaginée.Nous construisons des outillages pour vousqui s'harmonisent avec nos clés dynanométriques ou des outils qui s'adaptentexclusivement au montage de votre tourautomatique multibroche ou robotique.Il va de soi que nous construisons égalementd'autres outils extravagants selon vos désirs.Des informations dans vos commandes dontnous avons besoin afin de concevoir un outilselon vos idées, au cas où vous ne seriez pasen mesure de nous fournir un dessin ou uncroquis avec les dimensions requises:

p.e. pour une douille-cardan il nous faudra lesinformations suivantes:- quel entraînement - DIN ?- quelle entraînement / p.e. TORX,

Surface Drive, XZN....)?- quelle longueur ?- avec quel angle d'inclinaison l'outil est-il

employé ?- un diamètre précis de la douille/

porte-douilles ?- avec aimant ?- avec ressort ?

- pour quelle vis ou écrou (vis filetée, vis autotaraudeuse....)?

Como en toda empresa, las herramientasespeciales son herramientas que no figuranen el catálogo estándar. Saltus fabrica también una gran serie de herramientasespeciales, empezando con el bit hasta lallave articulada que se ha imaginado el cliente.Para Vd. diseñamos herramientas que armonizan con nuestras llaves dinamométricas, o bien, herramientas quesólo son adecuadas para su máquina dehusillos múltiples o su sistema de montajepor robot.Naturalmente que también fabricamos herramientas muy extraordinarias de acuerdocon sus deseos personales.A continuación, los datos del pedido quenecesitamos para fabricar una herramientasegún sus ideas, si Vd. no nos puede proporcionar un plano o un croquis con lasrespectivas dimensiones.

P. ej. para una llave articulada necesitamoslos siguientes datos:- Qué tipo de arrastre - DIN ?- Qué salida (p. ej. TORX, Surface Drive,

estriada ...)?- Cuál es el par de apriete máximo?- Qué largo?- Qué tan grande debe ser el diámetro

exterior máximo?- Con imán permanente (adaptado al

tamaño de la cabeza del tornillo)?- Con imán elástico (para la tuerca

según DIN)?- Con expulsor?- Para qué tipo de tornillo o tuerca

(espárrago, tornillo para chapa autorroscante, ...?
