Systembeschreibung System Description

Die in diesem Dokument beschriebenen Steckverbinder ent-sprechen den spezifischen Anforderungen der Bahnindustrie und sind besonders für den Einsatz in Schienenfahrzeugen ge-eignet. Grundlage für diese Steckverbinder bilden die Kompo-nenten unseres modularen Steckverbindersystems CombiTac. Diese Konfigurationen sind speziell auf die Anschlüsse von Batterie packs ausgelegt:Diese Stecker können mit Ø 12 mm Leistungskontakte und mit Ø 1,6 mm Signalkontakte kombiniert werden, z. B. für die Kon-taktierung und Überwachung von Batterieanlagen.Bei einer Kombination von beiden Kontakttypen haben die Signalkontakte auf Seite 9 eine Interlock-Funktion („first break/last make“)

The connectors described in this document meet the specific requirements of the railway industry and are particularly suit-ed for the use in railway rolling stock. These connectors are based on the components of our modular connector system CombiTac.These configurations are dedicated to the connections of bat-tery packs:These connectors can be combined with Ø 12 mm power con-tacts and Ø 1,6 mm signal contacts, i.e. electrical connexion and monitoring of battery packs.When both contact types are combined, the signal contacts on page 9 have an interlock function (“first break / last make”)

Bemessungsisolationsspannung (UNm) abhängig vom Verschmutzungsgrad und Überspannungskategorie (gem. EN 50124-1):

Die Norm EN 50124-1 benennt vier Überspannungskategorien (OV), und vier Verschmutzungsgrade (PD), welche die Umge-bungsbedingungen beschreiben, denen die Bauteile, in diesem Fall die Kontaktträger, unterliegen:

■ Überspannungskategorie 1 (OV1): Sehr geringe Überspan-nungen, Einsatz in Umgebung mit Überspannungsschutz (in-tern und extern): keine direkte Verbindung mit Fahrleitung; Betrieb in Fahrzeugen oder Gebäuden; Integration in Geräten oder z. B. Steckverbindern.

■ Überspannungskategorie 2 (OV2): entspricht OV1, stellt aber höhere Anforderungen an Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und/oder Überspannungsgegebenheiten.

■ Überspannungskategorie 3 (OV3): entspricht OV4, stellt aber geringere Anforderungen an Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und/oder Überspannungsgegebenheiten

■ Überspannungskategorie 4 (OV4): Kein Schutz gegen Überspannung (intern/extern), z. B. bei direkter Verbindung mit Fahrleitung und Gefährdung durch Blitzschlag oder tran-siente Vorgänge.

■ Verschmutzungsgrad 1 (PD1): Keine oder trockene, nicht leitdende Verschmutzung ohne Auswirkungen

■ Verschmutzungsgrad 2 (PD2): Nicht leitende Verschmut-zung tritt auf; temporär leitfähige Verschmutzung aufgrund vorübergehender leichter Kondensation möglich.

■ Verschmutzungsgrad 3 (PD3): Leicht leitende Verschmut-zung aufgrund von andauernder Kondensation; tritt auf in industrieller Umgebung oder Baustellen (raue Umgebungen)

The EN 50124-1 standard names four overvoltage categories (OV) and four degrees of pollution (PD) that describe the envi-ronmental conditions to which the component is subjected, in this case the contact carrier:

■ Overvoltage category 1 (OV1): Very low overvoltages, for use in environments with overvoltage protection (internal and external): no direct contact with overhead contact line; operation in vehicles or buildings; integration in equipment or connectors.

■ Overvoltage category 2 (OV2): as OV1, but with higher re-quirements with regard to safety, reliability and/or overvolt-age conditions.

■ Overvoltage category 3 (OV3): as OV4, but with lower re-quirements with regard to safety, reliability and/or overvolt-age conditions.

■ Overvoltage category 4 (OV4): No protection against over-voltage (internal/external), for example in the event of direct contact with the overhead contact line or hazards arising from lightning strikes or power surges.

■ Pollution degree 1 (PD1): Either no pollution or dry non-conductive pollution which has no effects.

■ Pollution degree 2 (PD2): Non-conductive pollution occurs; temporarily conductive pollution possible due to light con-densation.

■ Pollution degree 3 (PD3): Slightly conductive pollution due to enduring condensation; occurs in industrial environments or on construction sites (harsh environments).
