DIRECT LINES TO VIENNA CITY CENTRE Railjet: in just 15 minutes from Vienna Airport to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)

Every 30 minutes, the ÖBB Railjets connect the two stations Vienna Airport and Wien Hauptbahnhof. ÖBB Railjet trains are a rapid (about 15 minutes travel) and comfortable service between Vienna Airport and Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna´s main train station) where you can change to connecting lines (underground, long-distance and local services).

Railjet trains also offer attractive direct connections from VIE to other Austrian cities like St. Pölten, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Graz.

7 Suburban trains: a perfect way to connect to Vienna‘s underground metro lines

With the ÖBB suburban train S7 you travel fast and safely from Vienna Airport to Vienna. The services connect the airport up to four times an hour with the Viennese underground network. This suburban rail network offers connections to a wide range of other underground stations in Vienna (e.g. at stations Wien Mitte, Wien Praterstern, etc.).

City Airport Train: 16 minutes non-stop, City Check-In with bag drop-off

With a journey time of only 16 minutes from Vienna Airport to the city centre (Wien Mitte), the City Airport Train (CAT) is a fast connection to Vienna city centre. Trains run between Vienna Airport and Wien Mitte every thirty minutes. In addition the City Air Termi-nal in Wien Mitte offers all the services of an international airport. Check in

your luggage already at the city centre, receive your boarding pass and continue your journey stress-free with hand luggage only. This service is available between 24h and 75 minutes before departure during operating hours.

Vienna Airport Lines: Your ”Bus Plus“ with direct connection to the Austria Center Vienna

Travel quickly and comfortably between Vienna Airport and the Austria Center Vienna: bus line VAL03 of Vienna Airport Lines(VAL) offers hourly direct connections to the Vienna International Centre, where the Austria Center Vienna is located. The two other VAL lines take you directly to Vienna city centre

(Schwedenplatz , VAL 02) and Vienna Westbahnhof (VAL 01).

- Austrians are the EU’s most avid rail travellers. And they know why. - Every year, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) carry about 460 million travellers to their destinations, safely and in an eco-friendly manner. This is the equivalent of 9,000 sold-out football stadiums (e. g. Austria’s Ernst Happel Stadion, located close to the “Prater” (Vienna’s vast amusement park)).- These 460 million passengers cover about 11.3 billion kilometres annually by public transport. That equals circa 38 round trips to the sun.- ÖBB owns Austria‘s largest bus company, ÖBB Postbus GmbH, which operates Vienna Airport Lines.- An ÖBB “Railjet” train weighs 446 tonnes. This corresponds to the weight of about 83 Asian elephants.
