The mountain in the heart of the city. The Nordkettenbahn takes visitors straight from the city centre of Innsbruck in just a view minutes into Austrias largest nature park, the Alpine Park Karwendel. The journey starts at 1,837 ft above sea level not far from the heart of Innsbrucks old town, with its historical buildings and the world-famous Goldene Dachl (Golden Roof). Planned and designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, the Hungerburg funicular, with its unique stations, sets new standards in international architecture. From Hungerburg, the journey with the Panorama Cable Car continues on to Seegrube station (6,250 ft) and Hafelekar station (7,401 ft).

The small cableway museum in the Seegrubenbahn valley station at the Hungerburg offers superb, three-dimensionalinsights into the fascinating history of the Nordkettenbahnen(cableways). The development of the cableways and the service they have provided over the years to the Tyrolean people is shown from the beginnings in the 1930s until the present day.

In der von Siegfried Thurner 1931/32 errichteten Theresien- kirche schuf der Tiroler Knstler Max Weiler (19102001) diebedeutendsten kirchlichen Wandgemlde. Seine 1946/47entstandenen Arbeiten, welche die Herz-Jesu-Thematik zumInhalt haben, gehren zu Weilers wichtigsten ffentlichenWerken.

In the Theresienkirche, constructed by Siegfried Thurner in1931/32, the Tyrolean artist Max Weiler (19102001) createdthe most important church wall paintings. His works, createdin 1946/47, with the Heart of Jesus as their theme, areamong Weilers most important public works.

Die Seegrube, auf 1.905 Meter gelegen, bildet das Herzstck der Nordkette. Sie stellt gleichzeitig einen Ort der Begegnung, einen Treffpunkt fr Familien sowie einen Platz zum Ent-spannen dar. Hier sind Sie bereits umringt von der Schnheit des Alpenpark Karwendel. Von der Terrasse des Restaurants Seegrube blickt man hinunter auf die Landeshauptstadt, in das Inn- und in das Wipptal. Ein wundervolles Wanderge-biet ffnet sich um die Seegrube. Von dort aus lassen sich auerdem zahlreiche Almen bequem im Abstieg erreichen. Auf alle Kletterfans wartet in den Felsen direkt hinter dem Stationsgebude die Kletterarena mit 35 Touren. Hier, im Herzen der Nordkette, finden alle, fr die Sport und Ge- nuss im Vordergrund stehen, ein reiches Bettigungsfeld. Sonnenanbeter sind ohnehin am richtigen Platz!

Die Seegrubenbahn verkehrt jeden Freitagabend zwischen 18:00 und 23:30 Uhr halbstndlich das Restaurant Seegrube ldt an diesen Abenden zu einem saisonalen 4-Gang-Men, selbstverstndlich werden auch -la-carte-Speisen angeboten. Ein absolutes Highlight ist sicherlich der nchtliche Blick auf das pulsierende Innsbruck, der diesem Dinner einen besonde-ren Zauber verleiht. Vorreservierung erbeten.

The cable car to Seegrube runs every Friday evening between 6:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. at 30 minutes intervals. The Seegrube restaurant offers on these evenings a seasonal four-course meal, you can choose your meal from the la carte menu as well. A highlight is for sure the breathtaking view of the pulsating city, which makes this dinner unique. It is recommended to book in advance.

The Seegrube restaurant on the first floor of the mountain station at the Seegrube is a meeting point for those looking for an easy going and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy food and drinks a spectacular view over Innsbruck included. On the ground floor you can still find a modern free-flow area.

Direkt von der Terrasse auf der Seegrube fhrt der Panora-ma-Rundwanderweg in Richtung Westen am Einstieg des Frau-Hitt-Lifts vorbei in flachen Serpentinen hinauf zum Denkmal des Ski- und Bergsportvereins Htting. Spazieren Sie auf dem gut ausgebauten Weg und genieen Sie den Tiefblick auf Innsbruck. In nur 25 Minuten erreichen Sie wieder die Station Seegrube. Keine alpine Erfahrung notwendig.

Starting directly from the terrace of the Seegrube station, this circular route leads west past the entrance of the Frau-Hitt-lift and rises in gently sloping serpentines to the memorial of the Htting Skiing and Mountain Sport Club. Go for a walk on the well developed path and enjoy the view down onto Innsbruck. In only 25 minutes, you are back at the terrace. No alpine experience necessary.

Einzigartiges Hhenerlebnis ber 7 Gipfel der Nordkette.Der Innsbrucker Klettersteig (Hannes Gasser Route) zhlt zu den schnsten Routen im gesamten Alpenraum aufgrund des fantastischen Ausblicks in das Karwendelgebirge auf der einen Seite und auf die Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck auf der anderen. Im Sommer 2008 wurde der Klettersteig durch die Alpinschule Innsbruck generalsaniert. Ein Klettersteig-Set knnen Sie sich im Sportshop Seegrube ausleihen.

Experience the fascination of the high alpine Innsbruck fixed rope route over seven summits. With its stunning views over the Karwendel mountains on the one side and over the Capital of the Alps Innsbruck on the other, it is one of the most beautiful routes of the Alps. In the summer of 2008, the fixed rope route was upgraded by the Alpinschule Innsbruck. You can rent climbing equipment at the Seegrube sportshop.
